Well...

We have booked our wedding at the Aventura Cove Palace. Along with our room and the plane tickets.

So far

Not including Me and the FI I have 4 couples booked for a total of 28 days. Others have said they are coming but have not booked anything yet.

I have booked Del Sol as my photographer.

I have been looking into flower option and I have talked to J&S Audio about music during the reception, however i haven't booked that yet because I am not sure if we will have enough people to have a dance. If we have a small amount of people. I am just going to save my money in this area.

I have bought my dress. And receive my birdcage veil from Etsy. Next month I will probably order the undergarments. And the shoes the following month. If I spread out the expenses they don't seem so bad =)

I just started thinking about invites. I will probably send those out in Oct.

How about you? I would love to see where everyone else is at.

I've booked my room. (Me, FI and the son.) Haven't booked the flights yet. That's the next big thing since it will be 3 of us.

No one has booked yet...not even stressing about that.

In the process of ordering my dress. I'm going to order my hair flower soon. Not sure if I even want a veil yet.

will be using the hotel's photographer and videographer as of right now. That might change though.

Oh...and i've purchased 4 bathing suits already. lol and I have my welcome dinner dress. (more than likely i'll end up buying a different one.)

Hi Ladies, I'm a Feb 2, 2011 Bride....we've not got anyone booked as we're still hoping the prices are going to go down. At this point I actually can't find a direct flight from Halifax, so I'm not sure if connecting may be best, or change the dates just slightly to allow for direct flights!

I have my dress, and shoes, and FI has his clothes. We sent out our STD's when we first got engaged to get word out and give people time to save up if needed!

Ladies, you are all right on track with planning! Keep in mind that planning a wedding in Mexico requires more foresight but also additional patience as certain vendors and other services simply don't handle a calendar as far in advance as what you may be expecting or used to! February will come fast, but take it one step at a time! If any of you haven't ordered invites yet, your February date qualifies you to check out two of our new Mexican-themed invitation designs and enter our gift-a-way. You can see details at our blog below - but something uniquely Mexican in your guests' mailboxes will truly set the tone for your upcoming celebration! Good luck to you all - you've picked an amazing location and your weddings will be fabulous!

Our date is Feb. 26, 2011! We are having a non-resort wedding at a villa in PDC and are booking The Royal in PDC. So far we have most of the big stuff done... I have my dress, bridesmaid dresses are ordered, sent the STD, booked photographer, ceremony and reception sites.

Is anyone else having calla lillies and orchids in their bouquets? What are your bouquets pricing at? Or is it included in the resort package since most of you are having resort weddings?

I think I am going to get Calla Lillies for my brides maids. I plan to order real touch flowers online. I found some really pretty ones for $25. Here are pictures of them. I haven't order them yet tho. I am worried I might change my mind closer to the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
