hi ladies!

i am getting married on feb. 19th at the now sapphire.  so far... sent out save the dates, have a website, booked hotel/airfare, i got my dress and 1 pair of shoes (flip flops), saving up to buy my pretty shoes! ha!, found my invites but haven't ordered them yet, will be doing so in the next week or so, i've bought of ton of bathing suits, dresses, shoes all for mexico (i def. took full advantage of the end of season sales! ha), bought a ton of stuff for my oot bags but still have more to do/buy, started working on my "welcome" booklet, booked a photographer, i am almost finished with my bridesmaid gifts... found my bridesmaid dresses and FINALLY got my fiance to decide on his and his groomsmen attire... thats it so far...

still debating reception decorations, i am thinking about bringing my own stuff (organza overlays, etc) but not sure yet.  is anyone else bringing their own decorations like that....  centerpieces, chair bows???  i might skip out on the chair bows and concentrate on the table decor, but i change my mind every day so who knows! ha!

i feel like i should be planning more, but it is so hard with out knowing exactly how many people will be there... so far we have 38 people booked and still counting... we are estimating about 50 or so guests total...

happy planning everyone! :)

I am bringing my own centerpieces. 5....yes 5 glass vases, with real touch flowers and rocks for the vaces. Also bring my own chair sashes. I found awsome ones online for .70 per. Much cheaper then the resorts. I am bring 50 paper lanters as well. My own rose petals, as well as starfish for each plate.

My centerpieces look actaully like the picture below. I think the picture below is real touch flowers as well, they look so similar. Same trumpet vaces too. The resort wanted 100 pertable. I bought everything for under 100 at hobbly lobby

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
