That's so cool! We just booked with the travel agent yesterday so now we can start planning for real. Letters are going out to our guests on Monday! My FI and I are arriving on the 22nd so maybe we'll see you! How weird is that?!

We've been to Aventura once before and loved it so we always knew we wanted to get married there.

How are your plans going?

We are getting married on Feb 10, 2011 at the Grand Palladium Kantenah.  Trying to round up friends and family for deposits is a bit of a stressor.  I am not going to let it get to me though, everyone that wants to be there will be there.  Happy planning everyone!!

I thought I was stressed out before this, but now after reading how far ahead of me you all are...ughhhhh! haha

So far I've:

Bought my dress and my BM's have theirs as well

Finalized on a resort- Barcelo Maya Tropical

and booked a wedding date/package there- February 25th, 2011

I'm going tomorrow to pick out invites and already have a T/A looking for deals for the resort. Looks like $1700 all in...not bad!

Good Luck everyone! Great to meet all the February 2011 brides cheer2.gif

Awsome ladies! Its gonna be a great month in Riveria Maya. I think we personally picked the best month. Atleast in wisconsin...everyone wants out in Feb.

I am going to send out my invites in Oct. That way they get out before the Thanksgiving and Christmas invites. This last week I bought 32 Real Touch Calla Lillys for Centerpieces. We are going to have 4 round tables with the tall vaces in the middle.

I have not started my OOT bages. Just paying for all the decor at the dinner this week as kept me busy and broke.

This week alone i bought:

40 5-6inch Starfish

12 Volt Candle Holders

24 tea candles for the holders

40 Lanterns

40 Battery Lights

Fake Diamonds to sprinkle on the tables

I think thats it?

Consider putting food and beverage in your OOT bags.  When your guests are staying at a resort, munchies can be expensive, and our guests really appreciated snacks when they came in from the pools and beach.  We visited a local WalMart (or you can go to rocery store) and loaded up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
