I've searched through other examples of bride's RSVP wording, and while there are some great examples... nothing is fitting my situation.

My wedding is 6/6 in St. Thomas and the AHR is 6/18 at home. I put together a pocketfold invitation (with separate inserts for the ceremony in St. Thomas and the reception at home). While I *think* I know exactly who is coming to the ceremony (about 20 people), I feel the need to put an RSVP spot for the ceremony on the card too... because my family is weird... and I have heard rumors of one family member telling another that they are coming... but they never actually told ME, the bride, of their intentions. Alas, I digress...

Here is what I have right now... I can no longer tell if it's perfectly clear what I am asking, and my family and friends are really being of no help.

RSVP

I think that you should get rid of the "accept/Decline" after the wording for the Destination wedding, if anything put it before. This is how I worded it:

Please RSVP by August 2, 2010

Names:

________________________________________

Yes, we will see you on the beach ( you could add "in St. Thomas")

______# of Adults, _______# of children

______No, but we will be toasting from afar

We will be attending the welcome dinner on
Saturday, October 9, 2010( you could put "we/I will be attending the reception in Latham, NY on June 18 )

_______ Yes

#___Sirloin Steak #___Chicken Marsala
#___Stuffed Sole #___Vegetarian Penne

_______ No

I hope this helps, bc I know how you feel!! I went CRAZY for weeks trying to get it right!
Good Luck

Hi! I would guess you are also having a reception in St. THomas after the ceremony too, right?? If yes, this is what i would do (feel free to ignore of course!!!!)

And PS, my family is the same way, my parents just randomly decide to invite people on a daily basis, and we have to literally track down half of our family because apparently they like to ignore the stamped RSVP cards and envelopes that came with their invites. Don't get it!

This is a wonderful idea - I can imagine some people in my family just deciding not to put their names on and sending it back along. Thanks for the suggestion, and I guess I should start tracking down my phone number list now, just to be prepared!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
