Ughhhhhhhhh ladies I am wigging out!!!! Two of my Etsy orders - one of which is all of my jewelery and my bm's jewelery - have disappeared in the mail!!!! We leave in less than two weeks. I don't know what to do!!!! Should I give up and scramble to find something I can buy locally or do I wait it out? Has anyone else had things show up after a big mail delay. It's official.... I HATE living in Canada!!

Hey meggers

it took 3 WEEKS for my wedding invitation to get to my sister from Vancouver to Edmonton.  All my etsy stuff took about 2 weeks from the US. How long have you been waiting?

I"m SO sick right now. I can barely move. Off to the dr's in 45 minutes. I feel like poop. I've been off work for 3 days.........UGH smile27.gif

Meggers - Did you contact the seller? Maybe she has a tracking number? I think customs has slowed down a lot of stuff. My BD book arrived a week late. I agree with Tris, try to find something  local that you can return. I am having my BM jewelery made by my next door neighbour just for that reason, so I can make changes and don't worry about things getting lost.

I hear ya! I am waiting for one last item from Etsy, that I ordered over a month ago, and I leave in 2 days....apparently it's been in customs since March 9th.

I'd get out there and pick out something that you can find locally to use as a back-up so that if your package doesn't arrive you will at least have something...that really sucks!

Ugh!  I'm in the same boat!  I have had a high fever for the last day and half, went today and got swabbed, and I have Influenza B.  Bleh.  I did start some Tamiflu, but I'm just going to have to sweat it out.  Poor FI has been relegated to sleeping in the guest suite.  We leave in 9 days and I really could do without feeling this shatty.

ok dress review, so it is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I LOVE the ruffles mind you they are not exactly in the right spot as requested. I asked for them to be slanted with a beading strip around the entire dress. The bodice is similar to what I wanted but was supposed to be chiffon and is more organza/taffeta and the cups are a bit too small and revealing. The boning is not strong and the folding is not the best with some stiching showing and the scattered beading was supposed to be glass beads only and there is beads and sequins. The back of the straps was supposed to have beading and be in a V but it is straight across but overall i am ok with the back. They could have put a clip where the zipper meets the corset. The corset strap is a bit flimsy also. There are a few small holes where the organza ruffels is sewn to the skirt. Length is pretty good, just a tad long but i will wear heels and that problem is fixed. Basically minor problems that can be easily fixed i think, i would want to fix the slanting a bit and the cups to cover more of my girls. here is the botched paint job i did to show them what i wanted and me in the dress. Overall it looks pretty similar. I mixed three dresses together so I guess i get why it is not perfect!  Don't  Dfront bodice ruffle dress.JPG

Don't mind the mess in the background lol Also I need to fix the back so no overhang of fat is showing. Also I think I am going to add some better boning because the doens't give me the shape i have but looks pretty boxy. Here is what the top of the bodice was to look like

And the back of the bodice

And this is the waist I wanted front and back

bodice where slant should begin.jpg

And then these ruffles for the bottom below the slant

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
