Good Morning Ladies!  First day back to work after a 5 day weekend :) I had all my alterations done in one day and was able to bring my dress home with me! I was so scared it wouldnt fit because i ordered a size smaller than i originally tried on and havent lost as much weight as i had hope but it fit like a glove! Like it was made for my body! Best feeling in the word! Unfortunatly i forgot my camera at home so I wasnt able to get any good pictures but I am trying it on for my best friends on Thursday so i'll try and get some pictures then!

I also found these adorable shoes for our daugher to wear with her flower girl dress

Lisa - I'm so glad that you worked things out with your sister. I agree that she shouldn't be included. Hopefully it will improve your relationship too, instead of faking something that isn't there.  I would be so tempted to keep mine out too but then I would be down to just MoH and 3 GM! Although I keep thinking that FI's BM will drop out once he actually figures out how much it will cost.

I feel so bad. You girls all worked out so hard all weekend, but because I was actually home with FI for the first time in a month we ate out for the whole three day weekend! And nothing healthy. I guess now I have to get back to being good until the wedding.

We didn't do much wedding related. We picked up some first aid kits that another BDW bride was selling. FI couldn't understand why we would buy someone else's used stuff until I opened the packages and showed him what we got. Then he was impressed. We did a quick practice of dancing with my crinoline on. And that's about all. I was so sad that me e-ring isn't back from the jeweler yet. It sucks not being able to wear it, esp since we are apart from each other. But FI did surprise me with a Pandora bracelet that he bought for me while in Vegas for his bachelor party.

Teira, that's awesome that your dress was ready for you to bring home and that it fit perfectly!  Especially since you ordered it a size smaller!  That's exciting!  I love the shoes you found for your daughter to wear!  Very cute!!

Mocha, I'm glad you had a great weekend with FI.  You are a very strong person to be able to spend so much time apart, so it's completely understandable (and acceptable) that you ate out all weekend!!  That was very sweet of FI to pick up the Pandora bracelet!!  What charms did he also get you??

Hi Ladies,

I'm back from a 4 day weekend, and I just spent the last hour getting caught up!  I didn't accomplish much this weekend besides picking up FI's altered suit and bringing my rings in to get filed down so they fit together - I'm now without my ring for a few days...

I did have a bit of drama this weekend though - the GM and my dad's studiosuits.com order came in, and we were missing the GM's pants!  I emailed studiosuits and they told me that their records show they were shipped with the rest of the stuff so it isn't their fault, and the courier must have taken them....  Seriously??  We leave in 5 weeks and all the GMs have matching pants except one, and we already paid for them, and they are claiming that it isn't their fault...  They then agreed to make us new pants for free and we only have to pay the shipping....  which costs $60!  I went back and complained again and they agreed to pay for some of the shipping, so now I'll get the pants I should have already got for $35 - and I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they arrive in time!  Just when I thought I was almost done and didn't have much to stress over....

Oh, and I just read on my resort thread that my wedding planner has left....  So, I guess now I'll have to confirm with the new girl that everything I discussed with Beverly still stands!

Meggers,

Are you flying Air Canada by chance? We got the 25 people and then got 1 free so I was just curious if another airline had the same deal or if it was also AC. I just got a reply back from my travel agent about taking my wedding dress as my carry on.... basically you can do that but if the flight is full and they have nowhere to hang it then you have to put it in the overhead compartment!!!! What the heck is that about???? Last thing I want is people's suitcases and bags crushing my dress up there. I told my FI that even if I had to make all our guests take turns holding it on their lap then thats what I would do to avoid the overheads!

My FI's one and only job is also the playlist.... do you think he has started it yet? NOPE!!! I am still trying to decide what our first dance should be and the rest is his responsibility.... hopefully he gets his but in gear soon!

I also have numerous emails flying with my wedding coordinator at the resort to try and finalize all the final details.... hopefully all if this stressfull stuff will be over soon and I can try to relax a bit. I know it will all be over so fast that I should really just slow downa and enjoy..... sometimes easier said than done!

Hope everyone else's plans are coming along!

FI finally realized this weekend how close it is, and started working on our playlist (it's his one job).

And it seems as though I have the opposite problem with the late guests... One of my girlfriends was offered a job in Africa last week, and leaves March 15!! So she now can't make it, which means she loses her deposit but also that we were now one short of the 25 people who needed to book through our agent to get our free trip!! I was freaking out on Friday, since we could really use that $1600!!! Then it turned out that they weren't counting Shawn and I and I argued with them that it should and I think we worked it out... PHEW!! I was about to kill the 10 people who didn't use our agent, for costing us all that $$$! lol!

I hear you with the wedding coordinator frustration, I have had 3, I just hope the 3rd is still there in 1 month!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
