I ordered pink heart bubble tubes from theknot and several of them were leaking when they arrived which made me really nervous about traveling with them.  My mom cleaned the tubes up and poured all the liquid out.  She is going to bring these down and bring a sealed bottle of bubble liquid down as well and fill them once we get there....just something to keep in mind.

This is a great idea!  I had the same issue with the bubbles I bought from theknot.  I didn't think about doing it that way, but it totally makes sense.  It will still allow me to put the ribbon on the top of the bubbles, and just do the pouring when I get to the resort.  Thank you for that tip!

Brandy, I'm glad your replacement koozies have FINALLY shipped!  I hope they are everything you are expecting this time!!

Has anyone gotten a custom made hanger for ther dress?  I know there is a lady on Etsy that sells them, but she's got a waiting period of like 6-8 weeks at this point.  I really want to get one, but I think I'm going to see if I can find a different seller.

I really wanted to get one of those hangers too, but Im not having a photographer on the resort to really take those kind of pictures so I just did away with it, I was thinking about buying one of those ring shells but they are $36.00 has anyone seen them cheaper anywhere else?

Brandy have you checked Etsy? I want a custom one but the one I want is $50! On the plus side though, it can also be used as a Christmas tree ornament, which I think is so special.

On another note, I have my first dress fitting today!!! I totally lucked out and found a lady though one of my coworkers who is a seamstress at a bridal salon during the day, but takes clients from her home in the evenings at way cheaper prices!!! I want to explain to her that I will still be losing about 6 pounds so the dress should be a but small, but I feel like she must hear that all the time!!

Glad your Koozies shipped Brandy! Hopefully they're right this time!

I thought about getting one of those hangers, but unfortunately my budget is at it's max.  I can't really buy anything else.... well except for something for my TA and WC.

any ideas of what I should get my TA (aunt) that's not too expensive?????

I'm thinking of bringing my WC a small bottle of local maple syrup! (figure they prob won't have real canadian syrup there)

Yeah thats where Ive checked and they are $36.00 but then I just looked into making my own and its probably cheaper to buy the one for $36.00 I dont know seems kind of steep!

Brandy, I hadn't seen the ring shells before you mentioned it.  I went and checked it out on etsy.  They are cute, but I understand not wanting to spend that much money on it.  That's kind of where I'm at on the hanger, but I know it would be a great piece for my photographer....

Laura, I honestly hadn't thought about doing a gift for either... is that traditional?  Am I missing something?  Now that you mention the maple syrup, I'm thinking that is what I will do for my TA who is in California (hopefully she doesn't read this...she's a BDW TA).  Maple syrup is the biggest thing from Vermont... so I think it's a great idea for her.  On the WC...I'm so frustrated with mine, that I don't want to give her ANYTHING!!  I know, that's probably mean...

Laura that is so funny you say that about the maple syrup! I sent my WC and email asking her what she might want from Canada and she said "maple honey, but I think she meant maple syrup" and some city design magazines lol

I wanted one of those hangers too but I guess that plan just went out the window lol

Tris-I died laughing at your password!!!! Great pics. Sooo pretty yet sexy at the same time. FI is going to love them!

Meggers-Nice score on the seamstress, good luck tonight!

OMG my resort is sold out from the 18th of April to the 29th, no straglers for me but I am glad about that because I only bought like 50 of everything to cover all my guests. I can't believe it sold out so quick. Might not necessarily be the hotel it self but Air Transat vacations which is the only tour operator in canada to go to that resort which seems odd to me. Guess we filled up the only plane going lol Today is final payment day for everyone so I think we have 7 extra rooms that will be released to the general public if no one takes them today.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
