Meggers - i totally noticed the spacing and also the "th" on 13, too funny! Im so OCD about things like that ... I have a notebook i keep in my purse and jot down wedding ideas, reminders, etc. and as soon as a page starts to look sloppy i totally re-write the whole thing so its as neat as possible...

Brandy - Ive been working on my planning thread, hoping to get it up next week! I just have a few more projects im finishing before - ring bearer pillow, flower girl pail & "i do" letters for cake table .... ooo and hoping my guestbook i ordered off Etsy gets here soon too!

It feels so surreal that its actually time for us all to get ready to leave for our weddings! If i dont get a chance to say it individually to you all i hope you all have the most amazing wedding weeks ever and i cannot wait to see pictures and hear all about it ! And thank you all for keeping me sane through this whole process!

Hello fellow April Brides!

I know it was talked about on here a while back about what to get as a gift for your wedding coordinator at the resort.... I actually just told my wedding coordinator that I would really like to bring her a gift and asked her if there was anything that she would like from Canada..... she was so grateful and went on and on about how nice that was of me! Anyway what she said was that she loved any aromatherapy kinds of things (so I guess body spray, lotion, candles, shower gel, etc). So my idea now is to go to Bath and Body works and buy a bunch of things that I could put into a basket for her once we get there. I think that kind of stuff is expensive for them in Mexico (on their low wages) and is a luxury so I think it will be a great gift thats also budget friendly for me!!

Just an idea for you all who were maybe trying to get ideas fo what to get them.

Hanna, it was probably me that asked. I wanted to bring some really Canadian, so I'll probably try to pack some maple syrup and some maple leaf candies. I know she has 3 children between 7 and 13 so that will be a little tougher. I still intend on giving her a monetary gift as well. I know it's her job to make us happy, but I feel like she is more involved in my wedding planning than my family.

I'm shocked to hear you guys know so much about your WC.  Mine has barely even contacted me and doesn't respond for days when I respond to her.  When she does respond, it's normally one or two words.  I hadn't even thought of bringing her a gift!  Is it pretty standard to bring a gift for the WC?  What about photographer?

Nevermind.  I found it A-MA-ZING!   You really put a lot of time and creative effort into your wedding.  It looks absolutely beautiful.  If I created a thread it would literally be less than a page.  I don't know if it's where I'm going, but I don't even know what kind of flowers I have, what my cake looks like.....and I leave in 3 weeks!

Meggers - I love that you straightened out the spaces! Too funny, and I noticed the "th" right away too:)  Ha ha!! Thanks for making it pretty for the rest of us!!

I don't know if you can still get these or not, but I know people LOVE the Canadian Red Mittens from the Olympics! Even if it's too hot to wear them!!

I went to the dollar store today and picked up some Canadian souvenirs (pencils, keychains, frisbee, bracelets). I'll just give them away to anyone I talk to or if someone helps me out...I also got a couple kids puzzles and games...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
