Wow, I missed so much yesterday afternoon/evening!  I feel so left out!

Brandy, I love the gifts!  They came out great!!

Lisa, I like the centerpiece with the green stones, it bring the other color in and makes it pop a little more!

Anyway, I'm having a "down" day I feel...  I'm so frustrated with work from yesterday & today, and it's totally got me in a funk....

On top of that, I have been bugging FI for a week now to call the woman who we can book our AHR location through, and he's going to do it... TOMORROW...  Oh wait, he just called...and better yet... we can't have our location, because it's already booked (by a company who books it every year).  Apparently FI could tell in my voice when I called him this morning that I was less than impressed with his "I'll do it tomorrow piece."

What I was also going to say is that our photographer has asked us to move our date so she can do a wedding that date.  I'm totally put off right now by the fact that she would ask me that!!  UGH!

However, now what I have to say is, our location is not available, and our photographer doesn't want to do it that day anyway!

Is it Friday yet??

Erin - that's not so great. But I guess it works out that you need to find a new date for both reasons. Is your photographer just doing it as a favor? That's strange that she would try to reschedule for another wedding.

My FI is the same way with it's on my list excuses. He is complaining to me about not having his taxes done when I told him last March that he needed to change his address with the gov't and get tuition receipts before I could complete his taxes. I am still waiting for both. And now the people at work are telling him that he will have to pay a penalty so he is all worried. Of course, he doesn't believe me when I tell him there's no penalty if they owe you, it's only if you owe extra taxes. Plus, it's my fault he doesn't know where his income receipts are. I told him to find everything and get it all together. And not the night before I get home!

Oh no, no favor at all.  We are paying for her trip to Mexico, and also paying her $1,000 for the package we are getting.  I guess, I just couldn't imagine someone change something like that so it fits into my schedule when we've signed a contract already...

Thanks for the support ladies.

Tenny I think wearing her ring is a lovely idea. I'm going to have two photo charms done up for my bouquet, one of my grandparents and one of his parents. Also I ordered all of my jewelery and my bm's jewlery including my hair piece from a seller on Etsy that donates money from every sale to the cancer society. Since we lost FI's mom to cancer I thought is was a nice, subtle way to honour her. It's tough to find a balance between including them, but not turning the occasion somber. Oh and FI's mom loved carnations so he is going to wear a carnation and button mum boutenniere.

I think you have it perfectly Tenny -  honour them in ways that you can feel but everyone else may not realize. We just need little reminders that they are there always here with us.

Oh Lisa that poem is wonderful!! What a beautiful tribute. We put an "In Loving Memory" page on our website with photos of each of the 6 people we'll be missing that day. It has a quote from Xavier Rudd's song "Green Spandex" have you ever heard it? It's lovely (despite the strange name)

Meggers, I apologize I just read your post about FIs family.  That is so sad... I couldn't imagine dealing with all of that.  I think honoring all of his family members would be wonderful.  I am thinking we will honor my grandmother (who was like a second mother) and FIs sister.  I think it's a great touch.

I ordered swirl pops too. I actually found them in my wedding colors, orange & turquoise from Beau Coup.

The smaller ones are all storage containers for food that I got at the dollar store. I just glued ribbon around everything to dress it up a bit :)

I have 3 of the tall ones and they cost me $7.99 each. I'd be totally willing to sell them after we get back if they make it back with us. The small ones were all between $1-$2.

And thanks everyone for the compliments! I'm really happy with how they're turning out.

Tris you are a lifesaver! I've been scouring the net for plastic cylinder containers but haven't found any... duh, who woulda thought to use plastic pasta containers, lol!

Heres the Lounge Cover Towels- the quality of these are great! They are nice thick fluffy towels, I only worry about how much room they will take up in the suitcase! And the embroidering is awesome!

I love these! I'm still on the fence whether or not to do the embroidered towels. I was able to get 15 turquoise beach towels on clearance for $2.50 each last year, but I need 57!

I think that will be so special for you to wear her jewelry  love.gif

Also, someone asked me where I got my candy from for the candy buffet, but I couldn't find the post.  I actually got most of it from Oh Nuts! and then my swirly pops from Beau Coup.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
