Laura, I love the bags!  Very cute!!  I would go insane if I was dealing with family like you are.  I worked SO hard to get everyone to either commit or not at the beginning, FI has been saying to a few people lately that there is plenty of room and we'd love to have you, you, and you there...  I just sit back and let it happen and don't say much because if it's going to happen, it will.  I'm just can't stress over the "unknown" right now...  Hopefully you won't have to worry about many more!

My FI has been a procrastinator as well, but when I finally lay down the law, he accepts it and does what needs to be done!  He doesn't have much of an excuse right now because he's out of work on work men's comp....so he has PLENTY of time to do the few things I ask!

thanks erin!!!

i think i've come to terms with the fact that if more people book and i don't have enough stuff for them... TOUGH. like his aunt/uncle.. we've been telling them since before xmas to please book and confirm. ..... oh! and his parents' friends might come too if they get a last min deal.... i told FI's parents directly if they come they're NOT attending our wedding. I'm only buying enough cake and stuff for so many people.

If we have any more people join, they will give very little of the same OOT Bags, if they get any...because I can't help that they booked last minute!  I like the attitude you have on FI's parents friends not attending the wedding...  If it's not important enough for them to book up front and they are only going if they get a last minute deal...  they don't care enough, sorry!

Brandy, that's bad if you are starting out bribing now... what are you going to do in the future!!  Oh well, sometimes it's just what we have to do!  =)

Sometimes you just have to do it, to get things done!! We are always making deals with each other, its pretty funny actually, its always like well I'll do this if youll do this and thats how we usually figure things out, it works out good in our house, stuff like well I'll do this dishes tonight if you'll vacuum, that sort of stuff, I guess its not really bribing, more like bargaining lol

Hahahah you ladies are funny, I think it's something in the Y Chromosome that makes nothing a big deal... well nothing but the budget!!

FI finally realized this weekend how close it is, and started working on our playlist (it's his one job).

And it seems as though I have the opposite problem with the late guests... One of my girlfriends was offered a job in Africa last week, and leaves March 15!! So she now can't make it, which means she loses her deposit but also that we were now one short of the 25 people who needed to book through our agent to get our free trip!! I was freaking out on Friday, since we could really use that $1600!!! Then it turned out that they weren't counting Shawn and I and I argued with them that it should and I think we worked it out... PHEW!! I was about to kill the 10 people who didn't use our agent, for costing us all that $$$! lol!

Brandy, we do things kind of similar on the bargaining!  One main one that we have is who ever cooks dinner, doesn't have to pick up!  I like that one!  But I agree, bargaining is a very good thing!!

Meggers, I'm glad to hear that you've got things figured out or looks like you do!  That would be terrible if you had to pay, especially considering you have that many that booked without going through your TA.  It's also too bad that your friend won't be able to join you...  how long is she going to be in Africa??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
