Alright... I had my dress fitting this morning, and it went better than I expected, but we are making some changes to my dress....  I have a few pictures for you ladies.  The ones that were taken today, didn't come out well because the ladies house was weird and didn't make for good pictures (plus it was a different person, not my MOH, who took them today).  So I went into my old camera and got these pictures from when I picked the dress out the day I bought it.

We are actually taking the zipper out and making it a corset.  I had wanted the corset to begin with, but this dress didn't have it of course.  But, I have gained a little weight since I bought it (in 11/09), but as I've started to lose it again, it's gone from my boobs first, so she has to take that in, but can't do it very well with how the bones are in the dress.  So, it all worked out perfectly!  Plus, as I continue to lose it before the wedding, it will be easier to change the dress by just tightening the corset!!

Also I came across these awesome Seahorse candle holders that would be great for centerpieces, they are only sale 50% off right now so they are only $10, i didnt pick any up yet, still trying to decide for sure if i want them or not

Thanks Teira!  It's funny because after I got my dress, I wasn't sure I made the right decision.  I got it at a local store and it was "going out of season" and was 50% off.  I ended up putting a deposit down because I knew all the other dresses I had tried on that day WEREN'T the ones...  After everything today, and knowing it's going to be the corset back, I can't wait to wear it.  I had thought of possibly getting a second dress for the reception/dinner there, but after today, I'm not going to because I'm not going to want to come out of that dress!

Very cute dress!!  I didn't realize you had a daughter, how old is she??  Also, are you looking to get the seahorses for your centerpieces at your DW?  If so, how would you get them to the resort?  Are you able to send things ahead of time?

I forgot to mention, yesterday I went to Big Lots! which is a store that is between your typical dollar stores and a Christmas Tree Shop.  I'm not sure if anyone else has one around them, but they had the frames a bunch of you ladies were talking about over the last week or two.  They had a bunch of different colors too...  Just thought I'd throw that out there in case some of you have a store near you and hadn't checked yet.

My dress is a corset back too (thank goodness since i have lost as much weight as i had planned on ) I think they look so pretty laced up the back like that.

Yes we can ship stuff to the resort ahead of time which is nice but we have to go through an actual broker to ship it because of customs so i can just go to like the post office and ship it. I emailed my florist in cabo today to see if there is anyway to put the flowers on top of the seahorse candle holder, if so i'll definitely be getting them! And i would also like to use them for the guestbook table with a candle on it and perhaps votive candles around it

I never think to go to big lots! I definitely need to start going there!

My daughter is a year and a half 162793_1527485473240_1417795399_31127955_3967692_n.jpg

I'm totally jealous of the fact that you can ship things down prior!  I'm cutting a bunch of things out of the wedding just because we can't send things ahead of time.  I'm going to try my hardest to not get out of control on the luggage, and may see when I can pack in my parents and MOH's luggage.

Your daughter is so cute!!  That's a great age, she must be a lot of fun!

Okay... I have to say, my stomach just fell when I checked my email.  I had just gotten a picture of our luggage tags from the lady I ordered them from on etsy...  they look great, but on the side where it says "we are headed to Erin & Randy's wedding in...."  it says Jamiaca, and we are getting married in Mexico....  I've said a few times that we are getting married in Mexico....  I hope this doesn't slow down the shipment...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
