Thanks Brandy that was exactly what I was looking for but the shipping was 24$ and the shoes I found here at aldo were very similar for 28$ taxes in. Sorry I haven't had a chance to upload the pics yet. I am crazy and thinking of buying a property on auction in florida behind my grandmas house which is taking up my computer time.

There is a great BD photgrapher here for a reasonable price but I haven't lost what I wanted to yet so not sure If i am going to do it for the wedding. Maybe our anniversary if I am not preggo lol

Mocha - I'm glad your BD shoot went well!

I've decided that I won't do one for the wedding, as much as I'd love to because I know FI would love it.  Maybe in the future.

Laura - I wanted to ask you, has a decision been made on the photographer for your wedding?  I know you had mentioned before that the photographer you used for your engagement session was thinking about going down for the DW... so I was just curious!

Erin - we have NO idea what we're doing photographer wise.  we just don't have the $$$$ to hire one and unfortunately the one who did our engagement shots, can't make it. boo! ... we were going to ask my one brother to just take shots (because FI took some at his wedding and all FI's shots were just as good as the actual photographer) BUT.. this is the brother who is literally flying in on my wedding day.

I wish FI's parents would just step up and offer to pay for us to have a photographer.. especially since when we first got engaged they'd say that they'd help us out with stuff... they've never actually offered to help on anything since though... let alone even talk about the wedding really. it's odd.

The whole time, I was worried FI would come home early and freak out about what was going on. I really hope he likes them, and that I can wait to give them to him.

Laura - I hope your FI's parents step up to their offer. When we bought our house, FI's parents said they would help out. I knew money was tight in their house, so I wasn't expecting them to even offer. I think they just offered because they knew my parents helped out with the appliances. They never did help out, so I would have preferred if they never offered. Especially since a couple months later, FI had to help them out!

Laura - Thank you for the blog address!  I've been building my library that I check regularly, so I'm going to add it!   That stinks about your photographer situation.  Even thought your brother isn't arriving until the day of, wouldn't he still be available for at least the wedding and then afterwards?  Obviously I know he wouldn't have a lot of time to prep, but if he's going to be there...   One other thing...  Have you and FI thought about maybe asking his parents?  It's kind of a forward thing to do, but if they had originally offered and this is the only thing you are asking for???  Of even part of it, if you guys could swing that.  I know asking for my can be an awkward thing (at least for me), but since they offered...  maybe have FI approach them by himself, if he's willing to do that.  (I actually have to talk to my parents to get some of the money they have offered us here pretty soon...)   I hope you guys are able to work SOMETHING out...  That must be pretty stressful.

I was driving to work this morning and had the radio tuned to a different station than normal, and heard the perfect song to walk down the aisle. Marry Me, by Train. It's so perfect, even the tempo! So now I almost have all our ceremony songs picked, just need one for the recessional.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
