I'm so happy to hear this mocha!!  Even if you didn't find your dress, hopefully her comments about the one you had made give you a little more reassurance!

The bridal shop manager was fabulous and really helped a lot. I didn't find a dress, but showed her the dress I had made and she told me to stop worrying because I would love that one.

April 4, 2011! (it's our 8 year anniversary) we are going to couples resort tower isle for our weddingmoon. To us the wedding isn't just about the sunset- it's the whole experience! We've booked the resort and wedding. Working on sending invites in the next week :)

My custom dress was released from Vancouver customs a couple days ago so it should arrive at my house any day. I won't be able to see until I go home for a visit in a couple of weeks though. I'll make my final decision once I try it on, but it certainly helped to have an unbiased opinion. Especially since she knew how much I was willing to spend and told me not to buy another dress even if it was from her.

Honest, sincere, and caring people making me happy!  Sounds like that's what you found in the lady last night!! Yay!!  You'll get to see your dress soon...well, in a couple of weeks.  What made you decide to do the custom dress??

I did the custom dress because I couldn't find anything that I liked and figured that for the price I could take my chances.  If I need any other alterations, I will bring my dress to the bridal shop I visited last night. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that I like the real thing.

Hi ladies:)  I am officially an April 2011 bride!  After attempting to plan a DW in Mexico, we happily decided to elope (shhhh it's a secret!  yaay!) to the Turks and Caicos.  We'll get married April 12th or 13th, depending when we can get our license.  April 13th will be our 3 year anniversary, so that would be fun.  Life is so good since this decision:)

We're flying down our photographer from here and are super pumped about him and his work.  He's going to do a video to show at our AHR of our wedding and our trip.

I ordered my Watters dress a month ago, then made a fatal bridal mistake and tried on another dress on a whim....and fell in love with another dress.  I thought about it for a few weeks, then bought it a few days ago.  I LOVE this dress, even more the 2nd time than the 1st.  It feels amazing on.  So now I'm a 2 dress bride (ha!).  I think I'll try to sell my 1st dress b/c I can't imagine wearing it now that I have MY dress.  I'm definitely NOT trying on any more dresses:)

We've attempted to take our engagement photos 3 times now, only to cancel due to our crazy weather here.  Last night was attempt #3 and our wind speeds were 25-30mph.  Not good for hair!  We're going to try again Weds or Thurs this week.  I'm getting anxious to get our STDs out!   No one but my family and my best friends know that we're eloping, so we're going to word our STDs and invites as our "wedding celebration".  We plan to take a fun photo with our passports during our engagement session to be sent out while we're in the Turks & Caicos to our guests announcing our elopement.  Our AHR is 2 weeks after our elopement.  Can't wait!

Okay, so there's my introduction:)  I can't believe how rapidly April is approaching!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
