Tisha, I think there will always be a slight difference. After a few weeks, no one will be zoomed in on your hand anyways! They do look like beautiful rings.

That's amazing that you were able to contribute so much for your family!

Love your big smile Laura!

Meggers that's awesome!

Has anyone been receiving gifts yet? I know we got a few cheques, is it bad that I haven't sent thank you notes? Should I send the notes from here and have FI deposit the cheques right away?

thanks sheri!

we've recieved 2 gifts so far ... a cheque and cash.  we deposited them right away because well, we needed them to help pay our property taxes!!! it's not bad at all that you haven't sent thank-yous. Gosh, my cousin got married October 2 and we still haven't recieved thank you notes!!!!!! ... my brother got married in July and sent thank yous 4 months later...

So what FI and I did, is we made up a spreadsheet where we're plugging in names and what we got so that we don't forget to thank anyone when the time comes.  I'm thinking of ordering some cards through vista when we get home with one of our wedding pics on them. THen we can mail right away to those who already gave us gifts, and we'll have them ready to mail out after our AHR to those who give to us then. :)

The joke going around in our family right now is that FI and I have our thank you's sent out before my cousin!!  my mom is so ticked about them not thanking anyone yet (like 6 months after their wedding) that she's going to mention something to my aunt+uncle (his parents) in jamaica lol

Laura- love the idea of a spreadsheet to keep track of gifts for sending thank yous, I'm definitely goingto start one tonight! Ps that location of your girls weekend looks amazing! Meggers- that is sooo exciting about the honeymoon for a gift! Mocha- I never found any fuchsia or orange ties that I like, most places only have pastels right now nothing bright. And it's tough because I have a picture in my head of exactly what I want them to look like - fuchsia and orange paisley but no luck finding them :( also not sure if you saw but I posted the template for my table numbers that you asked about, post #17 I think it was We leave 2 weeks from today! Woooo hoooo!

WOW Meggers, that is an awesome gift. So thrilled for you guys. When do you go?Also thanks for that spoon trick cause when I cry I look like a martian!!! My eyes get so puffy and bloodshot it's crazy. I CANNOT cry at my wedding or all my pictures will be ruined!

Laura, glad to hear you had a great time and got a nice little gift! We have received 3 cheques so far and we haven't sent thank you cards but called and said thank you to one and said thank you personally for the other two and will send all the thank yous at the same time. We are also keeping a spreadsheet of gifts received so not to forget. Also one of my staff went to a cousins wedding over 6months ago and hasn't gotten a thank you and she is PISSED. At the end of April if she doesn't get one she is asking for her gift back bahahahaha

Oh and never go to bed mad for sure. That is the best way to keep a relationship together!

Speaking of stress and fights with FI's I had a bit of meltdown this weekend and told FI he needs to step it up and help me out and today on his day off he cut the ribbons for the welcome bag tags, put labels on shot glasses, cleaned the house and did some research online for our honeymoon in greece. He also came shopping with me at Micheals yesterday (he HATES that place) and we got a flower girl basket and i added flowers to it. I bought the same center piece for my hair flower as Laura and finished that, bought some cardstock and brads for my fan programs which are too small for my whole punch so back to the drawing board on that one! I fell MUCH better today!

Greys you dress looks beautiful on you!

BRANDY-WHERE ARE YOU!!!! lol

Okay, wow...  I miss so much when I'm busy at work!

Greys, I love your dress!! It looks great on you!

I can't remember who had the ring picture, but I agree, after the recoloring, I think they will look better...I really don't think they look that bad at this point though.

Laura, I'm glad you had a great trip this past weekend!  The location was definitely beautiful!  I also love the idea of the spreadsheet, I'm such an Excel girl!!  I love my spreadsheets!

Meggers, that is an awesome gift!!!!  So exciting!!!

I know I've missed a bunch of other stuff, but... my memory is going as we get closer to the date.  Speaking of the date....  I'm glad to see on Entertainment Tonight they are doing the count down to my wedding...oh wait, it's for the royal wedding, not my wedding...just lucky that the whole world gets to know how many days until my wedding, thanks to Prince William and Kate picking the same date!!!

    • Hundreds of years before, the basic jewellery were made out of seashells and bone, trees and animal skin. In the ancient times, the Egyptian jewellery first came into existence. Egyptian culture inhabited technology, gemstones, and precious metals early in comparison to other places. They were inspired by the culture of royalty and aristocracy which led to thinking noble like having a deep appreciation for luxury. This made them create impactful jewellery and leading trends. Copper was the first metal that came into existence through which we as humans got so many jewellery items.  However, the major focus on jewellery came when they discovered gold. This allowed the Egyptian to rule as the first jewellery maker. The ancient Egyptians valued adornment and were worn by both men and women.  Material and metals: The plethora of material which was used in the making of this Egyptian jewellery was basically gold and silver. Egyptian has mostly attracted towards gold and the availability of silver was less in Egypt as compared to any other place. The colour variation was due to the mixing of elements such as alloys like copper, iron, silver into gold.  Charm jewellery: It was then also an interesting concept to have charms in necklaces, bracelets and other jewellery items. It’s just they were made up of stones and precious or semi-precious jewellery. In this picture above the necklace is adorned with precious stones in different charms shapes. Gem and stones: The more royal pieces of Egyptian jewellery were adorned with the precious jewellery items. The gemstones were semi-precious stones, precious stones are other various gems. The most prized stone were lapis lazuli, rock crystal, and pearls. Emeralds were also found in these jewellery pieces. These were made from ground quartz and then molded into expensive gemstones. They are also used as charm jewellery when molded or carved in different shapes.
    • Congratulations! Where you are you getting married?
    • It’s my wedding five months from now and we badly need ideas because everyone’s mind is not working right now and I, as the bride, cannot even think of what I really want to have on my wedding day. I want something simple yet unique. Something that suits for Colombian women and bride. Can you help me out with this? Thanks! I will really appreciate your comments!
    • I know it is really tough job to get everything at best cost. I would like to suggest to contact local wedding planner or decorators to get the quotes. It will take some time but by comparing different quotes you will get the best package.
