Beautiful Megan!  Your dress was one of my FAVOURITES that I tried on about 9 months ago.... we hadn't set a date or determined anything other than a DW so I decided to wait.  I have found another dress I also like now and I thought I was over your dress but your pictures make me question it!!! Did you have the straps removed? That was one of the things I didnt like about it on me and I love how it looks on you!!! Amazing photos congrats!!!!!

Thanks so much Tori! I did have the straps removed. I also switched out the flower for a feather one. I still love that dress and am so happy I went with it. It was the first one I tried on and I knew it was the one. It's definately a dress for the groom because it really hugs your curves. My hubby is still talking about it and a bunch of my guy friends told me I was the sexiest bride they've seen! Best of luck with your planning!

so yeah... our AHR is in just over 2 weeks now and we are so NOT organized!!! the in-laws insisted that we get this hall because they wanted to host this thing for their friends.. well as of 2 weeks after our RSVP date, we had a total of 56 yesses out of 98 invited... so a MASSIVE hall with 50 people.. nice...... they amount would have totally fit in the in-laws backyard for a bbq (which is what we wanted) ... hall is paid for though so it's kind of a 'too bad' situation.  HOWEVER MIL calls the other day saying the final count is over 80!!! ummm ???? no idea where these other 30 people came from! grrrr...... anyway, i still don't know how many tables we're having... what's happening linen-wise... or what we're doing for centerpieces! ... only thing that is figured out is that i'm going to make cupcakes in lieu of buying a cake which i'm going to start doing this weekend (just freeze them).  the party is in TWO WEEKS!!!! on top of everything hubby has been working crazy late nights for the past 2-3 weeks so he's been so stressed and tired that i'm being left alone to try and deal with all this.  SO STRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm worried this whole thing is going to look like crap! :(

ERIN CONGRATULATIONS! That is amazing news, so exciting. Big Hugs to you and your hubby!

Laura, I have the same worry that some people may forget to pass on their RSVPs. I just put our invites in the mail, so we shall see who calls us to confirm. For centerpieces, I noticed the other day that you can buy roses in bulk from Costco online. I'm starting to be concerned about our AHR as well. I got an email yesterday from the restaurant asking if we were excited and wondering when we would like to come for our planning meeting. I wrote back that we were enjoying being newlyweds since we got married last month. I also reminded her that I was not taking a holiday from work and driving 6 hours each way for a one hour meeting to confirm menus and timelines. I'm pretty sure that I was able to plan an entire wedding week in another country via email! Here's a hint, make notes about your customer before you send them an email.

Laura and Mocha I hear you on the AHR! There are more people coming to it than came to the wedding and I've probably put about 2% of the effort into it! It's in a week and a half and I still have a ton to do!

Mocha are the costco flowers available in Canada? The website looked American to me when I checked it out a while back. So I went with http://www.flowers-direct.ca/Index.html . The prices were really good. We got a box of 40 stems of tinted hydrangea for $125 including tax and shipping. Can't say yet about the quality because they get here two days before the AHR, but I can let anyone know if you're interested! I'm doing the hydrangea in galvanized steel pails as centerpieces along with the canvas table signs and the leftover pinwheels from the dw in mason jars.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
