Brandy - I was wondering where you have been the last week. You have up to a year to send thank you cards. But it is advised to do ASAP so people aren't offended that you accepted their gifts without notice. Especially if the gift was received by mail, you want them to know it arrived safely.

Because we had a teeny tiny wedding - we're sending out photobooks as thankyou's but everyone knows they won't be getting them for awhile.

I've been sending out thankyou cards everyweek for various showers that were put on for me.

We start TTC in 15 days (or so) - but I'm not gonna lie...it scares the living sh!t out of me. SERIOUSLY. I know the end result is awesome...it's just all that inbetween stuff. smile41.gif

Greys - I love the candy buffet, it gives me inspiration to get started on buying the containers and stuff...  I think my biggest worry though is the amount.  How many people did you have and how much candy??   I also love the cake!!

I've only gotten gifts from the bridal shower, and I sent those thank you cards within three weeks of the shower...  actually, now that I think about it, we have received two gifts since the wedding.  I need to send thank you cards for those!  For the people who traveled with us to Mexico, I'm going to send them thank you photos!  We did a big group photo when we were down there so I'm going to get those printed and put them on some card stock and write little thank you notes on the back and mail them!

Congrats to all my fellow ladies TTC!!

hi ladies!!!! i feel like i've missed so much just being away for like a week --- i was stuck in training here at work.

Brandy --- in regards to thank you cards, don't worry about feeling rushed about getting them.  Geeze, my cousin got married last October 1st and we only JUST got his thank you card like 2 weeks ago!!!!!!   We ordered ours and actually just got them the other day.  After getting so many FREE things from Vista Print for the wedding we thought we'd actually give them some business. ;)  Bought our AHR invites from them too and the quality is awesome!

As for when we're going to mail them out..... we've decided we'll start by sending them right away to those who we have already recieved gifts from but WON'T be coming to our AHR.  We're also going to send right away to those who came to Jamaica but CAN'T come to the AHR.  We're also going to write some up for both of our offices as they gave us generous gifts.  We have also already recieved many gifts from people who ARE coming to our AHR, so we're just going to wait until after the fact to thank them for the gift and joining us at the AHR.  Since we have the cards already, we plan to just send them asap after the AHR (no waiting 6 months for us) so that it's done and we dont' forget anyone. :)

Laura your thank you cards look great!!!

I'm getting so annoyed with our photographer.... first he's 1.5 hours late for getting ready pics on the wedding day, then he gets lost on the way to the reception and is an hour late for that. Then I asked him almost three weeks ago for one photo for our thank you cards (since I won't get samples or the rest of my photos for at least two months). He gets back to me the following week saying he'd send it last week. The whole week passes with nothing so I send him a reminder. This week, still nothing so I send him another reminder. He gets back to me last night and says he'll send it today... STILL nothing.

I'm all for Mexican time but COME ON! We gave you thousands of dollars at least give us one friggen picture!

Sorry about the vent, I just really want to get the thank you cards ordered so we can start sending them out!

Laura, those look great. We have cards included with our photo package, so I don't know when we will get them. I hope that makes you feel better Meggers. We also just got access to our photos yesterday. Hubby hasn't even had the time to see them yet :(

Question, what is everyone doing with their TTD photos. How do we display them? A separate book?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
