That's my Grandpa. He had a stroke 6 years ago. He's literally my hero and has always been there for me when my dad wasn't. The stroke caused him to lose mobility in half of his body. He's taught himself to "walk" but it's really difficult for him and he needs support to do so. I only got a few steps out of him, but it was so special we had everyone crying.

And thanks so much everyone. I'm stunned at the amazing job she did. We did all of our pics before the wedding (as it was at sunset), so the beginning are first look pics.

Someone also asked about the flowers? They held up really well! I loved the simplicity of a round white bouquets, especially against the bold colours of the girls dresses. We didn't have any issues with them at all.

I bought a groupon from photobook canada for $35 (for $115 worth), so we're going to be doing a really nice coffee table book... we also have a nice big new wall in the house to fill with pics ;)

I actually got a coupon for a free 8 x 11 book from David's Bridal and Shutterfly. So I might make a book of our non-wedding pictures. Hopefully, my MoH sends me her coupon too so I can use that. Our photographers are making us a book as well. I still haven't gotten around to getting any of our engagement photos printed either. I think once we see our pro-pics we will decide what to do.

Dang Tris...I want that...however I have a groupon for $35 for $100 worth of professional picture framing so I can't complain.

We definitely want to get one photo done on canvas and frame a bunch more.

We also plan on a great coffee table book for our photos - we'll likely use shutterfly unless anyone has a better place to use (in Canada)

Since our wedding was so small, we are also getting smaller books done for everyone that came for Christmas as a thankyou gift - I've got most everyone's photos and will be able to choose the best photos between 7 camera's and the professional photos.

I personally dont think the shutterfly books are good for the pro pics, I think they are great for the photos off of everyones camera, I made a book for my mom with all her pictures and I put 2 of our pro pics in there and was really disappointed with the quality and they way the picture printed.

I have found a couple of sites that do that flushmount books but havent tried any of them yet, ritz does them, my photocreations (pricey though), not sure on mixbooks quality???  And I just ordered some prints through adoramapix and they do the flushmount albums as well I wanted to see how their prints turned out first and then I may order a book through them, they also do the metallic prints and the lustre prints and they have a special black and white paper to print b&w photos.

It's for whatever services I want from them. I think we're going to splurge and get a XL book... really I'm thinking of it as $115 OFF whatever I buy, haha. We could totally get a really nice book for that price, but I want all the extras, nicer paper, etc.. hey, it's my wedding photo album, it's worth it to me. And they come with either 40 or 80 pages, the ones I'm looking at are all 80, extra pages can be added for 1.50 or something like that.

Here's the site for all the Canadian Brides out there:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
