i've been working on my planning thread and really hope to get it up by the end of this week. :) it's all written up, I just need to snap some more pictures!!!  unfortunately i'm a day behind in my projects because i was stuck at the dentist last night.. :S

I ordered my BD book from mixbox and I'm the same boat. It was sent on Mar.3rd and I have still haven't gotten it. I spoke to them about it and they said that if I didn't have it by the 30th they'd reprint it and ship it express for me. But still... 1/2 naked pics of me floating around... ehhh

Be careful using Shutterfly for your BD book. I had a coupon for a free hard cover book, so I decided to use it to order my BD book. It didn't show up. And of course, they don't track shipments to Canada, so I have no idea if it is just slow arriving or if it got lost or what? They are sending me another one for free, but for all I know there is a book of me posing in lingerie floating around.

 

I also used snapfish to create our guest book, just a small soft cover one with our engagement shots. It turned out well. I also ended up with two of those since they thought the first one had color issues.

EEKS ladies that is so scary about the BD books!!! I need to make and order mine tomorrow and have it express shipped here because we leave in less than three weeks. I have no room for error here so I don't know which company to go with!! I had started with Blurb and downloaded the software, but I want to do a square book and they didn't offer it in the size I want, so I started on Shutterfly but now I am scared to order from them!!!

 

Any suggestions? There is Kodak that I can pcik up from Best Buy or Walmart or Costco, but I don't know how much I want to go into those places to pick up my nekked book!! Or about timelines.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry I wish I could help you there, but I cannot WAIT to change my name, I've already started using it for some things!!! My current name is awful and has a lot of negative things attached to it so I am so happy for my new one!!! Plus my new one is wicked... it makes me sound like a movie star or author.

I'm with you Meg. I can't wait to change mine too!!! When FI got me a Women's Health subscription for xmas, he put it in my 'new' name and I love getting that every month with my married name!!   It's a complicated Polish name, but I don't mind.  It will also be nice to finally be seen as an individual in my work industry -- my dad is a big wig, so i'm forever just seen as his daughter, which has had some negative conotations (ie. those who think i only have my job from my dad and such..)

I can see both sides as well in the sense that everyone's situation is unique and we have different reasons for our choices. Lesee I'm sure you have your reasons as well!!

 

Laura that is so cute about the subscription. We've started using it for little things too. I had a name tag made for attending work conferences and networking events and it has my new name on it. The only problem now is that it doesn't match my business cards!! :)

 

Lesee what would you do about kids (if you're planning on having them)? Hyphen? I think it would be tough to not have the same last name as my kids (if I have any!)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
