Anyways, I had to share the cupcakes that someone made - so cute and so clever!!cupcakes.JPG

Love the cupcakes!  That's such a sweet thing for your office to do for you!  I love the theme to go right along with your wedding!

For all you criers, I read a great tip in another thread on here - one of the brides said she popped a midol an hour before the ceremony and it helped keep the emotions in check!  I think I'm going to try this for sure, cause I'm definitely not a pretty crier!

Oh and Teira, about the different color vest, that is really odd that they didn't check with you to confirm that that was what you wanted. I think if FIL doesn't have a vest it won't be too big a deal, and with the temp on the beach, maybe he'll be happier with one less layer? And Char, those cupcakes rock! I'm a big baker myself and can totally appreciate the creativity that went in to those. How cute of your co-workers to throw you a shower. My students have been wanting to throw me a bachelorette (I teach acting to adults BTW) but along with the rules of not supposed to be fraternizing with students outside of school, not sure how professional I could be with them after an experience like that :-). They said that they'll get one of the guys in class to strip...not really something I'd want get fired over!

Meggers- I had no problem getting green hydrangeas , I wanted white originally but I guess white ones are really hard to come by in Mexico donut was $10 per stem with a minimum of 30 stems and I just couldn't justify $300 just for the hydrangea part of my centerpieces.

fmichelle that was me with the honeymoon and you're totally right! Since my mom booked us in we can spoil ourselves a bit, so I am suprising FI with a helicopter shuttle from the airport!! Everytime we watch the bachelor and a helicopter shows up to take them on a date he gets all jelous, so I think he is going to lose it! They also have a thing where they will drop you off on your own private island for a day with a picnic which I think would be awesome. I am so stoked to have a butler!!!

fmichelle, you will love your mixbook guestbook!  That's where I got mine and I adore it!

lsmith, thanks for the midol tip.  Gonna have to write that one down, cause I am an emotional mess!

Brandy, girl, I hope you feel better!  But, only 8 more days, that's freaking fabulous!! :o)

Teira, can't wait to see the hair trial pics!

Meggers, your FI will love the heli idea.  That's so awesome to be able to do all that fun stuff.  I kind of wish we had cut our Mexico trip shorter, and did a separate honeymoon.  But, it's all good.  We will have a blast no matter what!  We always do.

Oh yeah, and I contacted my daughters school today about how to get in touch with her teachers to get her schoolwork in advance, and they told me to write a letter, but try to make the trip sound educational.  ha ha, how do I make going to Mexico for her moms wedding sound like it's really for education????!!!  I think I'll just put that her education is very important but this is a special event that she couldn't miss and that we will ensure she gets all of her work done.

And another thing, my daughter bailed on my "legal day."  Lol, she has more important things to do, like going to NYC with her friend.  Ha ha, oh well, I guess she's at that age!

Brandy-  Sorry you've been sick Lady!  Cold?  Stuffy head?  Try some Zyrtec-D.  It's a lifesaver for me!  Hopefully you can kick it's butt in the next few days. I was wondering where you were on here....starting to wonder if you'd been kidnapped on your Bachelorette weekend;)

Teira- LOVE that guest book!  Who was the etsy seller if you don't mind me asking?

Meggers-  I also like the hydrangea bouquet.  I liked the jewels in the all daisy (I think) bouquet too.  Any thought to adding some bling to that 2nd bouquet as fmichelle suggested?  Or you could have the stem wrapped in your other color.

Char-  Fun cupcakes!  I'm glad your shower went well.

FMichelle-  I think it's awesome that your FFIL is walking you down the aisle!  Shows their support for your relationship:)  Glad it's worked out.

Laura-  Glad the swimsuits worked out.  You never can have too many great bikinis on a honeymooncool.gif

Has anyone put together their own guest book that's a photobook from a website like Publisher or VistaPrint?  I have thought about doing it but wanted to get any advise from you ladies.  I don't have a creative bone in my body......so it has to be easy:0

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
