WOW Sherri that would be stressful. I would tell them to do it now because all the taxes are going up because of gas prices i think! I know to mexico they went from $282 to $343. I really don't think things are going to go any cheaper. Their best best is the week after march break so from now till like wednesday and then they should just book already!!! Do you have a backup plan? Have you already paid them? I know some brides paid for their photographer to go down and that was their payment.

Oh my friend Pina Coloda. I LOVE her!

Cute hat char lol

not sure if this file attachment will work... opinions needed

Lyrically speaking, it's perfect for a wedding in my opinion.  So now, picturing the beach setting, sun shining, ocean in the back drop, hopefully a breeze.... does it sound too melancholy?  without that setting i'm thinking yes... BUT in that setting, i think it just might work??  also, does it seem too long?  If we use this, i'm thinking of having it play and starting to walk out with my dad around the 1:10 mark...  thoughts???   (FI axed the taylor swift song lol .. he's like "but we weren't young when we first met" haha)

Lisa, we have only paid for our deposit, half of the photography package. The travel costs are their responsibility. So if they wait longer and have to pay more, it's really their own fault. She wanted to book right away, but the husband kept telling her to wait. They are booking the rooms directly through us, it's just the airfare. I can't really get too worried. Stuff like this always happens to us. When we were buying our house we had to look for a lawyer a week before closing because the original lawyer passed away unexpectedly. When I bough my car they had to rush to find one because the day it was to be delivered someone drove the first one head into a wall! But as FI will tell you, I always get what I want.

My new dress is supposed to arrive March 27th so hopefully I will have time to get in hemmed if necessary. I won't do any other alterations.

Laura, your link didn't work :(

My opinion - pick a song that you like, have it a few minutes long, but I wouldn't try to choreograph it to the second, that's a lot of stress to worry about it being perfect, and things rarely go perfectly!! If the song goes on a little after you've walked the aisle, that's OK, it may feel now like a minute is a long time, but it will be nice when you are there to stop and enjoy the moment!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
