Laura, I can't believe you made that either (not that I don't doubt your abilities, but especially because of how quickly you were able to put it together) You should totally start selling on etsy!  And I love the fact that the fabric is from your dress, couldn't be more perfect.

Meggers, looking forward to hearing how the shoot went, I'm sure it was fabulous.

Lisa, I love the ruffly skirt on the last one, I think it would be so awesome for a TTD. Hopefully you hear from DHGate soon so you can get the whole situation sorted.

Greys, glad you like the koa wood ring, they're supposed to be extremely durable too as it was invented by a surfer who wanted something that he could wear in and out of the water.  I hope the meeting with the jeweler went well.

Tisha, I'm having issues with my ring size as well :( Who would have thought working out I'd lose it in my fingers more than my gut! I'm gonna wait to size them down though as I know that when you get pregnant your fingers may swell and I'd love to be able to still wear my rings then.

As far as cover-ups go, I've had a lot of luck at places like Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Nordstrom Rack.  Not sure if you have those stores up north of the border, but sometimes you can find something great there.  And if not, perhaps an outlet mall??

So, just spoke with my photographer and she asked if we could push the BD shoot a week....well, that means an extra week to really kick it with the working out but actually turns out to be a good thing since my salon was totally booked for my original shoot date.  Now I'm going to do a hair trial the day of my shoot so I'll not only get that out of the way, but my hair will be awesome for my photo shoot!  I wasn't sure how I was going to use my extensions on the day of, and now I'll have a professional help me.  One more week to be anxious, but I think it's for the best.

I hate not being able to check this site from work anymore grrrrrr!

Thanks for the opinions ladies. I spent alot of time on dhgate today and found a seller i am going to deal with and for only 150$ to arrive by April 8th yay, i suck at putting pics together on paint so I think I won't post it here cause i literally put three dresses together to get what i wanted lol I will just take pics and show you all later.

The communication was awesome with weddinggirl on dhgate and i hope the dress is just as great!

Meggers-I LOVE that dress. I wanted the same sort of look just not as mermaid(not skinny enough for that) but more with a slanted a-line. Good luck at the shoot and I can't wait to see pics!

The survival kits and bouts look awesome, great job!

Laura-BEAUTIFUL much much better. It is perfect now! I still need to finish mine.

My FI's ring has 5princess cut white diamonds and one black diamond on the side in white gold that is shinny on the inside and mat on the outside. But he also will not be wearing it at work so it will be only for going out i guess. We got it in cozumel for under a $1000.

i went through my clothes on sunday and realizes i have way too many dresses and cover ups so no more shopping for me on that front! Thanks god cause I just keep spending more money and more money.

Tonight I am making FI take my measurements ahahahaha so i can put in my order tonight for the dress. This should be fun!!!!

All this BD shoot talk is really making want to do it but I just feel like i have no time left or enough time to actually get the book complete before the wedding. Ahh maybe as an anniversary gift instead.

Still haven't bought my dad anything. I am still stuck on this issue, no clue what to get a man who has everything and if he doesn't have it goes and buys it!!!!

Lisa, is there anyway you can go to a seamstress for measurements? I know it made a huge difference between my two dresses. If you decide to do the BD shoot, my photographer only took about a week to get my shots touched up.

I decided against getting gifts for the parents. We will just do the photo books once we get our pictures back. It was the same situation for my parents, they just buy what they want so I had no ideas, and his parents don't need anything but cash.

Fmichelle, sadly we don't have any of those stores up North. The closest we have is Winners which is owned by Marshalls. Congrats on getting a better date for your BD shoot. You'll be feeling even more gorgeous after a trip to the salon.

Ladies, I am OVER THE MOON right now!!!!!! I had an amazing time at my BD and I already have the pictures back!!!!!! Even unedited they are better than I could have hoped for in a million years!!!! I am FREAKING out!! I can't even believe it's me!!! Unfortunately the online gallery is in flash so I can't save any of the pictures to post them. And sadly there is an inadvertent nipple shot in there so I don't want to share the whole gallery, but I will have the final product in a week and I will GLADLY share them because I love them so much!!!! Any of you thinking about a bd. DO IT!!! If you are anywhere near Toronto, do it with Lora at Kissed By Light Photography!!!!

sherri-just made my dress order and then saw your post about measurements. I guess I will just have to hope for the best. FI took them a few times to make sure they were all right and i asked some questions to the rep to get clarification and i think we did them right plus the dress will have a corset so i should have some play room.

Meggers and Mocha-can you both Pm me with the details of your photographers and the pricing so i can look into it. I think FI would freak out if i did this for him! Everyone seems to be doing it and i know he would love it and i haven't got him anything yet so if it only takes that long to get the pics back then why not!!! As long as it is not too pricey. I got a previous quote from someone in milton and it included hair and makeup and wasn't bad at all. Did yours come with this option?

Lisa you should totally do it!!! I have her investment schedule in PDF, I'd be happy to email it to you if you PM me your email! She certainly isn't the least expensive option, I just fell in love with her style though. For me it was totally worth it, but of course everyone is different! I had hair and make up done fir my shoot. She brought in a make up artist for me, and it was $95 on top of my package. I'm clueless with hair and make up though so for me it wasn't a question!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
