Laura, I have to tell you... When I read your comment about polishing the invites up, I read it as Polishing (like, from Poland)...  I was like, hmm, I wonder what she'll add to make them a little more Polish!  Then I read it and was like, OH! polishing them!  Ya, my brain is fried!!!

Wow.  I hadn't gotten on here in 2 days....and had 10 pages of posts to read!  Love it.

I'm sorry all of you ladies are having drama with families/friends/FMonster-in-Laws.  Weddings are supposed to be such a happy time and it's disappointing that not all adults can see that. Try to let it roll off of your backs and realize that we'll be ON THE BEACHES in a few weeks!!

On that drama note, my sister left me a voicemail 2 days ago saying she felt bad about our phone conversation and wanted to talk.  I haven't called her back yet....not sure I'm ready to make nice.  Knowing her, I think she just wants me to make her feel better about being so self-absorbed.  I'm not feeling it.  I'm sure it'll smooth over eventually, but I'm not ready yet.

I had some major flames coming from my debit card this weekend and have already received my dresses I bought for the honeymoon from Piperlime.  LOVE them!  And I loved how cheap most of them were.  And to boot they all fit!pl845789-00p01v01.jpg

And instead to go on a hundred different peoples facebook pages and write about how much she misses them. But not me. I'm supposed to be her best friend. I'm sad... It's not like the email was bad at all either! I was completely understanding and told her the reasons why I'd like to know sooner than later... and then wrote like 6 paragraphs about what's been going on in my life as well as asking her a million questions about her travels & adventures. Nothing back... :(

I was sad knowing that my best friend wouldn't be at my wedding... now I'm even more hurt because I feel like it's not that she can't be there, it's that she doesn't even want to...

This is sad Tris.  I fully understand.  Maybe she's feeling guilty about not going to your DW so she's avoiding the issue?  Truely not the best way of doing it, but maybe that's her intent.  I know it's hard too, but friendships do change, and not all are for a lifetime.  People are in your life for a reason, season, or lifetime I believe:)  Hopefully you two will get this worked out, either way.  Big hug.

Invite problem solved. FI is totally on my side - thank goodness! and agrees that we're only going to add "saturday" with the date, our phone # with the rsvp and then instead of 5-10pm... something like "cocktails at 5pm followed by dinner at 7pm" ... there was also a part about it being in the lower level of the hall that FMIL wanted me to include but we're going to include a map to the location anyway so we're just going to mention lower hall on the map. :) FMIL doesn't know about our changes and she's not going to until she gets it in the mail, and that's that!!! :) haha

OH! and it only took 4 weeks, but my key card holders FINALLY arrived from Hong Kong!!!!! :)  now I just need to make and print off the inserts (i snagged some avery badge paper from my office so i won't have to worry about cutting them out - score!)

I also started sewing my rehersal/AHR dress last night!!! It's pretty daunting so far and I can't see how the little pieces are going to become a dress, but I'm staying hopeful and doing just a little bit each night.

Lua-  You're a sewing machine!!  Your dress looks great....can't wait to see this next one.  I'm glad the invite issue is solved.  It sounds like you may have a bit of a Monster-in-Law on your hands.... Hopefully she'll back off once you're officially in the family;)

Ooh la la... Laura I love that cover up! I would wear that out as a dress! I am actually stopping at the la vie on rose outlet to check out some BD shoot attire, so I'll have to check that out too!!

And Grey's those dresses are beautiful! I especially like the first one, so flowy and pretty for a tropial trip!

Laura, I thought it was odd that you were going to do it because of the issues you were having with FIL's but I was like, I guess she's going for brownie points there!  Too funny!

I really need to get shopping.... I've only bought 2 things, and I haven't even tried either of them on since they came in...

I told FI that i'd go and get that coverup from La Vie En Rose this weekend and he's like "NO! go tonight!!! what if it's gone by weekend!!" LMAO.... so I guess i'm going to pop in tonight after my run providing i'm not too much of a sweaty mess LOL  they have some cute dresses on their site too, so maybe i'll get one too!!!! ... I tried buying sundresses last summer when the sales came on. So I already have a cute camo strapless babydoll from forever 21 and 2 other casual summer dresses - 1 in hot pink and 1 turquoise... need a few more though!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
