Meggers....Yep, WalMart!!  I'm on the Westcoast but I picked mine up from walmart for $1.00 each.  Not too shabby!!!

So as far as bringing centerpieces down.....I am VERY concerned with my luggage allownace and with the OOT bags and the few decorations that I have, I am starting to cut into my luggage allowance....should I jsut splurge for the extra bag???  We are allowed 44 lbs(20kg)  total!!  It can be in 2 bags but your total weight allowance is 44 lbs.  SOOOO for the extra it's $12 per kg for each bag each way!!  So I am thinking I am going to need the extra bag arghhhhh I hate haveing to do that when we could slpit it up but as far as just being orgainized it might be better to jsut paay the extra.....although...that's $240 for a 44 lbs bag each way!

Just wanna put this out there....BAGGAGE ALLOWANCES WITH AIR TRANSAT/NOLITOURS SUCK!!!

I hear you Bailey! That's why I had a plan, lol. My cousin and I are going down 2 days early before everyone else so I had to schedule a flight for us to take down there, but we come back with the group. So...I searched until I found an airline with a reasonable ticket that allowed at least one free bag. Yay- I ended up getting a one-way ticket to Jamaica for $175 and am allowed 2 bags (50lbs each) and a free carry-on and personal item! My cousin says she only needs 1 bag, so I now have 3 free bags and a free carry-on. My mom is part of my group that is staying for 3 nights and they get 2 free bags on American Airline, 50 lbs each- so I'm taking one of hers too! I now have 4 free bags & a carry-on! I'm bringing stuff down in those big totes that I plan to just leave there.

Bailey~ I am flying Transat also and I know there are some upgrade options that might help!! You can do a semi upgrade for about $79 round trip that allows more baggage (10K). It also includes some drinks and things! Here is the link http://www.airtransat.ca/en/info/option-plus.aspx?ExitID=62&ContentType=voyageur

You can also upgrade to Club Class, which gives you 88lbs check in and 22lb carry on! Also unlimited drinks, extra food etc. This is the one we're doing.

They have something new called "Kilo Flex"too that if you let them know in advance how much extra you're brining it's cheaper! (I think $8 each way)

I think upgrading your class is the way to go that way you get a lot more for your money than just the extra baggage, and it's cheaper!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
