White rocks and small folds it is!!! Thanks ladies, I don't know what I would do without you. FI said the same thing and that is what I thought as well but of course I needed my trusy april brides to chime in! THANKS :)

Ok another question> I was going to get my stepmother (well she is not with my father for the last 10yrs or so but is the mother of my sisters) a corsage and then I changed my mind. I am getting one for FMIL and my Grandmother who will be walking me down the aisle with my dad. Should I be getting her one also since she has been in my life since I was 3? She didn't save up any money for the trip except the deposit, my sisters and I pitched in with 400$ towards it and she asked my dad to loan her the rest and deduct from her alimony(don't get me started on this one, it's been over 10 years and he still pays her uhhhhh) which upset me LARGE because that is what I didn't want from the start and it is not his responsibility to get her there. Any thoughts?

Tris I can't wait to see your dress! I'm probably going to have the same issue... I told my seamstress that I'd be losing five more pounds before my next fitting... we'll see how that goes!! I wish I lost weight from stress... I'm a stress eater to the max so I'm really having to struggle to stay on track!!  My BD shoot is less than two weeks away now!! I think that is even more motivating than the wedding!!

I'm taking my dress as a carry on, and will have the resort come to my room and steam it once I'm there. I'm there for a full week before my wedding so I'm going to get it done early and have it hang in the humidity all week. It should be fine!!

Oh and between us we only have one parent (filling in the parent info sheet for my resort was a depressing excersise lemme tell you!!) It's my mom and I ordered her a mother of the bride tank top with a martini glass and a shoe on it, a personalized tote with our picture on it with mother of the bride and the date and I'm sending her to the spa for a massage while we're there.

It is really sad, both my FI's mother, birth dad and step dad have all passed away, his step dad just last year, and now his one aunt who really stepped in when his mom died was diagnosed with ALS yesterday. It's looking like she only has a few months to live :( I just feel so horrible for him, the only family he will have at the wedding is his half brother and one cousin. It's like no matter what we do there will be a dark cloud over our day because his mom won't be there. Are any of you doing any memorials at the wedding?

Oops... sorry for the multiple posts but for the foundation I am in love with Rimmel 25 hour foundation. I use it everyday, it stays all day and it's the best for coverage. I plan to bring it to the salon with me and have the make up artist use it on the day of the wedding.

Ok ladies, need opinions again. Today I printed my menus(which is a buffet but I like knowing what's there before i go up and it adds to the decor, maybe useless but hey). I learnt how to make a napkin fold and want to ask if i should go with the larger fold or the smaller fold?

I also finished cutting and gluing my table numbers!!! I loath cutting! All placecards are laminated and just need to have the starfish added on. Imagine the placecard on the smaller one when choosing. Also do I go with green rocks or white rocks in the starfish glass for my centerpieces?

We've decided not to get our parents gifts, I really wanted to but since we are paying for the wedding ourselves except with the help of my Mom and we are on a extremely tight budget we decided to forgo the gifts but I'm thinking that we'll get photo books made for the parents after the wedding and give to them at the AHR

Hey Meggers - I'm sorry to hear about you FIL - after a lot of contemplating I have decided not to do anything memorial for my mom I think it would make me very sad, I know that she will be with me in spirit.  I will be wearing a piece of her jewelry however possibly a ring on my right hand.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
