I also don't need to put the placecard there as I was thinking of having them in a tray with sand standing up by the bottom legs of the startfish. The only problem with that is i want certain people to sit in certain seats for better view of the head table and to avoid certain people beside each other! So if I go with that option people will just sit where ever at the table that is on their placecard. I am still not sure which way to go.

Tris so exciting to get your dress, can't wait to see pics. With all the stress you must be under with packing, moving, planning and reno's I am sure you will naturally drop a few pounds even if you don't need to.

I couldn't think about what to get my father but for FI's parents we decided the lightest thing would be to pay for them to take an excursion to see the ruins in mexico. Any Daddy gifts you ladies can think of. He is a man who has everything so it is soooo hard to buy him gifts.

Ok so I found a thread on here about waterproof makeup for a TTD and most say sephora, benefits, loreal, rimmel and Bare minerals but most suggested sephora which is quite pricey. I need to investigate more it think.

Okay Lisa I just searched one of the forums on here and a girl had said that she is getting her dad a model of the car he used to have when she was little and had the door engraved.  I'm thinking I might do something similar...My dad is super hard to buy any gift for so I am really looking for something that'll mean something too.

Thanks for the makeup tip!!

Haha! Wouldn't that be nice ;)! Stress weight loss! Haha! Unfortunately I don't think it will be that easy. I've been going to the gym to tone, but not really to lose weight. I'm pretty much at the weight my body likes being and I'm happy with it! Now only if the bottom part of those abs started peeking out I'd be satisfied!

I can't wait to get the pics back either! We laughed about how she's going to wear it cleaning the house (Monica, from "Friends" style).

I think I still like the small fold the best, btw :)

Bailey, we're thinking of giving our parents each a nice & big framed (or stretch canvas) family pic. Our photog is doing family pics for us the day before the wedding and since neither of our parents have an even close to recent family picture we thought it would be nice :)!

Lisa, now that I see the small fold with the menu and card, I prefer it. Maybe you can have a few reserved signs for the special guests?

Tris, I hope your sister sends the pictures today so we can all see the. I think I've dropped weight with being stressed. But it could also be that I am eating less. FI always wants to have full meal with meat,  veggies and side and even though it is way too much for me and more than I need, I usually eat it all. So now that I just have to feed me, I'm back to smaller portions.

Welcome back Bailey. I'm not sure what to get our parents. I will probably wait until we get or pictures back and make them albums which we can hopefully present at AHR.

Lisa, I like the centerpieces with the white rocks and the smaller fold on the napkins/menus

Tris, thats so great about your dress!! Not sure where I'll keep mine, probably just keep it at home bc I wont be picking it up until like a week before we leave!

As far as parents gifts go, I got both mothers those embroided lounge cover towels and bikini bags, I picked up a starfish necklace for my mom, they are getting some really nice thank you cards made up and thats all I have so far, Id like to get them a massage or something nice like that but trying to figure out how to fit it in the budget!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
