Laura - yes, that is definitely something that will be perfect for your website.

Brandy - the BM gifts look great, especially the embroidery.

Meggers - I totally feel for you. Before Christmas I had a bunch of stuff shipped to my sister in Virginia and it saved a ton. I've only had three other things delivered to our house, the card holders and my two dresses. FI had to pay the customs charges for the car holders which was more than shipping, and my second dress was shipped by courier, so a month later I got a customs bill for that too.

blondy- she only took stress leave because she didn't like her boss and knew it was an option. She went right back to work after the wedding, once she found a new job. I've worked a minimum of 70 hours a week for 10 months out the year, away from home. For the first six months of the year, I only had four days off! I know what stress feels like.

Brandy-- I LOVE your gifts! Everytime I feel like I've accomplish something, I see your posts and I want to go back to the drawing board. I might check out the bikini bags.

I purchased a robe and matching cosmetic bags for my sister (MOH) and mom and of course a white one for me. I've seen a few pictures with girls in robes while they get ready on the wedding day, so I thought this would be cute. A gift and a picture opportunity! I also got them monogramed. I think I am going to have everyone over before the trip for our wedding and give them their gifts then. I already have a ton to carry with me, so that will eliminate the gifts!

I'm freaking out about carrying my dress on the plane. Does anyone have any good advice? I was going to buy a really great steamer or just have it professionally steamed when I get there. What is everyone else doing?

Michele - originally I was ready to spend the money on a steamer so that everyone could steam their dresses. But now I am realizing that I do not want to spend unnecessary time in our room steaming my dress, so I will just send it with the resort to be steamed.

My package at the resort includes steaming, thank god!

Ok ladies, need opinions again. Today I printed my menus(which is a buffet but I like knowing what's there before i go up and it adds to the decor, maybe useless but hey). I learnt how to make a napkin fold and want to ask if i should go with the larger fold or the smaller fold?

I also finished cutting and gluing my table numbers!!! I loath cutting! All placecards are laminated and just need to have the starfish added on. Imagine the placecard on the smaller one when choosing. Also do I go with green rocks or white rocks in the starfish glass for my centerpieces?

I'm nervous about this too, but have decided to carry my dress on and then my coordinator has arranged to have my dress picked up, taken to a shop to be steamed, then delivered back to our hotel.  Not an ideal situation, but it is what it is.

Lisa - I like the white but it's nice to tie in the green. I think the larger napkin fold works better for the size of the place cards with the starfish. We're doing a buffet too and I was wondering how to put out the menu. I was thinking of just making cards for each of the dishes, but I'm also getting to the point that I have to stop finding more to include.

Lisa - I saw white rocks :) As for folds, I like both but I think I'm partial to the smaller fold.

I picked up my dress today ladies :)! I dropped it off to "live" at my sister's apartment until the wedding. It's a little snug, I'm not going to lie. But at least it's not going to be sliding off like before, haha! She took some pics for me, hopefully she'll email them soon :)

Thanks Ladies. Mocha the resort also puts out name cards for each item in front of it in some sort of sea shell holder so I will end up with both. The menus weren't difficult to do just the cutting is driving me nuts!

Here is what the small fold looks like with the placecard.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
