Ella- I actually registered for one of those pictures off of Etsy - I just asked the seller to make a custom listing for me and I posted it on our website with our other gift registry info to let people know. I told the seller if it doesn't get sold then I'll just buy it!

 

Yeah, I feel for those of you who don't get bonuses - I'm taking my PhD in a cancer research lab, and since we're non-profit there's no way we'd ever get bonuses (even the non-students). I'm always so envious of people who get bonuses:) Hopefully someday I'll get one too:)

 

And I've got exciting news - I finally have gotten some things done for the wedding!! I've been studying for a big exam for the past month so I haven't done any wedding stuff and now the exam is over I finally made my bouquet this weekend! I LOVE how it turned out - I will post pictures soon!!

 

Also - the guys suits arrived, the bridesmaids dresses arrived, we bought shoes for the groomsmen, and I bought a necklace for me to wear - will post pictures of those too!

 

Love the feeling of getting lots done:)

That's a great idea!  I didn't even think of doing that!  Hmm, maybe I'll set that up with the seller too!

I agree, I will be very focused too.  I actually packed my first bag today...  I put a big share of the OOT Bag pieces in one bag I'll be checking, but I still have a fair amount of stuff left that is for the OOT Bags.  Other than that, I've got a whole lot of nothing to do really...  so maybe I won't have to focus too much come the middle of April!

I have some sharing ladies :)

 

First my centerpiece. It's pretty much done. I like things in 3's, as you can see. The one thing that will change is the brown flower will be white flower ball with feathers (a larger version of the small one) and it will be filled more with jewels, seashells & those neato wicker balls, haha. Also all 3 containers will have turquoise LED lights in them. It's just tough to find them in Canada (and shipping from the US costs more than the lights themselves, ugh).

Now for my shoes! I gave up my search for pretty turquoise shoes that were less than 3" tall and got something neutral that matches my dress (which is champagne with mocha accents)

i'm so embarrassed by my dry hands, but .... her are mine together! i so badly just want to keep wearing it! lol i swear it's sitting upstairs in it's box just calling my name wink.gif they aren't an official 'set' .. i just really liked this band :)

I should also report that we went to look at our AHR venue today, which is now booked for June 25!!! we're thinking we're going to make our invites asap and send them right before we leave for Jamaica before people plan something else for that weekend.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
