thanks!!  our issue is that FI works an hour away so we're trying to see if there's any way that we don't both have to be there.  the lawyer is friends with his parents so we're hoping something can be worked out.

Laura, you dont have to go to a lawyer, you can go to a bank too, not sure if that helps, but anyways if you know the lawyer personally then he may be nice and not require your FI to be there to witness the signature, he may just go ahead and notarize it for you.

Next up.. i'm also VERY HAPPY to report... THE LUGGAGE TAGS ARE DONE!!!

I kind of had a stress-induced breakdown when I got home last night... I explained to FI that I don't like how essentially everything wedding-related has been put on my shoulders.. etc...

Anyway, after supper he sat down with me. I finished gluing the luggage tags while he worked on addressing the envelopes.. his handwriting is out of this world!!

They're going in the mail today!!!

Good morning Laura!  I'm glad to hear you completed your luggage tags!  Your FIs hand writing is fabulous, and I love what he wrote in the last picture!  Very cute!  Hopefully some of your stress is gone a little!

Brandy, I just don't understand why guys can't get that we want things done...not done to a point where we need to do it again!

Okay, so I have a rant....

Yesterday was a horrible day for me.  I woke up not feeling right...I was kind of in a mopey mood..  I plugged through the day and then went home.  When I got home, I made a comment to FI (who has been home for almost two weeks now) about the fact that he didn't clean the pan out from dinner the night before, instead just put water in the pan and the rest of the food was now soaking in water (he's very wasteful when it comes to food).  I didn't say it with a 'tude or anything, but he blew up at me!

So, as I'm taking care of things before I have to leave again, I noticed that he did take the time and go through the music list, which he said he wasn't going to because it was a waste of time for him, and no joke, crossed off over half the songs...  We now have one song left for our ceremony, and it's not even the one I had put down that I was going to use to walk down the aisle too!!!!  WTH!  I just pushed it all to the side and walked away.  I didn't have enough ambition to deal with the fact that we basically have NO music now.  UGH!  smile124.gif

Yesterday must have been lazy-piss-us-off day for our FI's lol ..... my FI was off yesterday yet he was dumping all the notarizing crap on me throughout the day... i felt great by the time I got home because i had a FANTASTIC treadmill run at my parents' house .. then i get home at 7pm to a black house, him upstairs playing video games... the kitchen looking just like i left it in the am with the dishwasher full of clean dishes and the sink full of dirty.... he was home all day and did NOTHING but stress me out.. then i get home at 7 and was expected to make supper!!!! UGH... men!!! .... i had my little breakdown when he finally came downstairs to find me making supper still in my running clothes... and then in silence he cleaned the entire kitchen.. and then cleaned up after supper too..

.. i keep getting "i'm sorry" emails this morning hahaha...

He is now in charge of figuring out the notarizing stuff so i don't have to stress about it.  He's gonig to call the bank today to see if we can just go there since it's open on the weekends.

Ladies, Sorry you had rough evenings. My FI is finally starting to realize that I have done so much work and he still hasn't worked on our playlist. I even pointed out his excuses in front of the neighbors hoping it would motivate him so we shall see.

Laura, his writing is fabulous! I hope you can find a notary, there is a lot of people that do it, and it only takes about 3 minutes per document. Try the yellow pages too?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
