Brandy, I love it!  I like the seashells sprinkled throughout and having them different colors!  Very cute!

lsmith, I'm sorry to hear about your drama with the suits/pants.  I'm glad you got it figured out the best you could...  that still stinks though.  I hate when the company says that it's not their fault, but at least you were able to get them to pay a little bit of the shipping too!

I'm starting to get frustrated with a few of my guests/FI...  We need to get the information back to the WC on our menu choices... I sent one email out, and then yesterday I followed up with all of my people on the list that hadn't responded and asked FI to do the same with the three people he has left.  Has he done it yet? Of course not!  No excuse...he's out of work right now!!!!!

I also need to figure out our seating chart...

Brandy - they took about 3 weeks to make, but the shipping only took a little over a week - so, I asked them to put a rush on the production and get them in the mail as soon as possible - and of course I told them we were leaving earlier than we are in the hopes that they get on it right away!  So, as long as there are no issues with customs we should be ok??

Wow - 3 coordinators - that's tough!  I guess you just have to keep all emails to make sure you have records of everything you discussed!

Hello Lovlies!!

I'm swamped at work today but my BM's clutches  and my clutch are ready and I'm just SO FRIKEN EXCITED about them I have to share!! The theme of our wedding is vintage whimsy, and the girls will each have a peacock feather hair piece (which came in last week and are gorgeous). Here they are!!

Are you getting married at Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay???

I'm in the same boat.

I'm terrified that something is going to go seriously wrong....

We already had to have our wedding pushed to 6:00 because the assistant double booked our day.

I'm back from a 4 day weekend, and I just spent the last hour getting caught up!  I didn't accomplish much this weekend besides picking up FI's altered suit and bringing my rings in to get filed down so they fit together - I'm now without my ring for a few days...

I did have a bit of drama this weekend though - the GM and my dad's studiosuits.com order came in, and we were missing the GM's pants!  I emailed studiosuits and they told me that their records show they were shipped with the rest of the stuff so it isn't their fault, and the courier must have taken them....  Seriously??  We leave in 5 weeks and all the GMs have matching pants except one, and we already paid for them, and they are claiming that it isn't their fault...  They then agreed to make us new pants for free and we only have to pay the shipping....  which costs $60!  I went back and complained again and they agreed to pay for some of the shipping, so now I'll get the pants I should have already got for $35 - and I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they arrive in time!  Just when I thought I was almost done and didn't have much to stress over....

Oh, and I just read on my resort thread that my wedding planner has left....  So, I guess now I'll have to confirm with the new girl that everything I discussed with Beverly still stands!

I've had the same problem with our resort... but we've been lucky with who we are working with now (The Wedding Department Manager), I've confirmed everything, and things look good.  Just make sure you keep all of your information, forward what you need to to the new WC and go from there I guess.  I wish the best of luck to both of you!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
