Good Morning ladies! I've been a little MIA with work travel and of course catching up reading everything. I have a question that maybe you can help with-- has anyone purchased hanging lanterns? If so, where did you find them? Looking for the best price. I'll be able to pass them along to the next bride after I'm finished!

I know that lots of BDW brides have used this site for lanterns:

Good idea to free-cycle!

We should just enjoy this moment.

Apola-  I'm glad you're health has stabilized!  Scary stuff.

Queen Diva-  Keep after your PT like it's your job!  I had knee surgery 1 year ago, went back to work after 3 days, and if I didn't keep working on both my scar bands and range of motion, my knee got tight.  YES you'll be able to walk down the isle.  Just don't push yourself and keep doing your therapy:)

I have been hounding FI for weeks now to contact the guy to get our legal ceremony done... well, I come home today and he tells me that it's all set, we are getting married...... VALENTINE'S day!  So yea...our legal ceremony is Monday....  I'm kind of weirded out by this, I must say!  However, it's kind of cute because one thing you must know about FI is...he doesn't celebrate Valentine's day.  His reaction to Valentine's day is, 'Why celebrate our love on one given day when we can celebrate every day of the year.'  So, I just think it's cute that he picked that day!

Okay, I must go to bed now so I can get up at 5:20 AM!

Yaaaay!  That's cute that he took the initative to plan your legal day.....which is only 5 days away!!  Can't wait to see pics!

Anyone who's away from this thread knows how long it takes to catch back up!  It's awesome to be part of such an active thread!

We have about a foot of snow on the ground here and I have our walk-through of our AHR venue with our coordinator at 2pm today.  Seriously.  I'm over winter.  I'm excited to do this walk through so I can hand over our stuff to our coordinator and let her handle our vendors and their schedules:)  Also, I'll be ordering our poms to decorate the AHR venue this evening.

Has anyone ordered any poms from any websites? I found some on Etsy but they said they have a 4 week production time....

Are any on your FIs wearing a colored shirt for the wedding?  We're thinking of scrapping his tie and having him wear a colored shirt under his linen suit.  Any suggestions?

You are awesome! Thanks so much for the words of encouragement, it's nice to hear (I often think I'm talking to myself on this thread, lol). I am going to definitely take your advice- I haven't been doing what I'm supposed to- being so busy at work.

Lua I love the colors and style of you moms dress.

Brandy-both are hot!

Mocha-I like in every store that I go to but for some reason I cannot find one. That site has some nice stuff but you are right I think this is something I need to buy when I find it locally.

Erin-you are NOT weird at all. I have the same feelings as you about my legal day which is kind of why I am doing it after cause even though we won't put any emphasis on that day or the words other than what is needed to make it legal I didn't want to lose any of that feeling.

Teira, that is too bad about your bracelet. I went to go buy my necklace from Costco on the weekend and it is gone, so I know how disappointed you are to have to look at jewelry again. I hope you get your pictures earlier to cheer you up. And so we can see how great they turn out!

Erin, if you check out the top 10 for yesterday, us April brides take up 6 of the spots!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
