Laura, I'm so glad to hear that you are having a girls' weekend. I think mine will have to happen after we are married.

I/We still have 10 weeks, but I know it will fly by. I just hope everyone finishes booking so I can get final, final numbers. I have to remind FI to check the mail, he never brings the key with him.

mocha - my mom decided to take me, my brother's wife and my other brother's fiancee away for the weekend -- we're going to The Briars (thebriars.ca) ... and essentially plan to drive there, go for a nice swim... take a yoga class... relax.. EAT .. relax!! it should be awesome.

bryanandchar  - We were kind of on the fence about a registry as well.. weâ€ve lived together for almost 5 years and pretty much have everything. But we decided to do one anyway… this way if someone WANTS to get us pots & pans, weâ€ll get the ones we like. AND the store we registered with gives us a whole year after the wedding to have 10% off anything on our registry that wasnâ€t bought for us! Plus itâ€s fun J

Lua – thatâ€s awesome about the photographer!!! And my FI does the same thing. I get so stressed about getting stuff done and heâ€s so calm about it “just relax, itâ€s fineâ€. NO ITâ€S NOT! IT NEEDS TO BE DONE!

Laura - I'm sorry to hear about your dinner with the FIL.  It just seems like it's one thing after another for you, you poor thing!  I can completely understand why you don't want a big party, and just want a smaller BBQ.  When my parents (mainly my father) started asking if we had invited this person and that person, I finally looked at him and said, "If you want these people there, I'm sorry, but you are going to have to pitch in more money, we just can't afford to have YOUR friends at our reception."  That was the end of the story.  Yes, it might seem mean, but really, I'm sick of bending over backwards for MY wedding!!!

Brandy - I was thinking how you hadn't been involved in these chats!

On another note - yesterday when we were dropping off one of FSS (future step-son)'s friends, after he had stayed over for two nights, his parents were talking about how we are going to have a wonderful time and so on... Then they were talking about how they would love to have a vacation like that with all kinds of friends....  So what does FI do?  He says, "Well, you guys should totally come!"  Yup, that's what came out of his mouth!!!  They asked how much and when they realized how cheap it really was, they wanted the info.  So, I am going to have FI just give them our website address and work it that way.  I'm surprised it hadn't started before now....  FI just can't stop his mouth from blurting out words!!!

Hi I just bought a bunch of swim suits and coverups from V.S last week. I have bought a TON of stuff on line and I can tell you that I am normally a medium in clothing but always purchase smalls. The clothing runs big but the swim attire is usually right on...I got mediums in the swimsuits and small in the cover up. My wedding dress is a size 6 just so ya get an idea of what I normally wear.. So my advice is to get small in the clothes and whatever you normally wear in swimsuits get that size! :) Hope that helps.. oh and you can return within 90 days with your money back, otherwise it will be credit.

So I'm a little scared to see how it fits, though I do like the idea of wearing all smalls! :) Have you noticed how fast things add up on that site though! Three bikinis, two bras and two cover ups were already totalling $320, and that doesn't even include customs or shipping! Oy.

Has anyone ordered online? Can you return items that don't fit? Thanks:)

I tried forever to try to respond to this thread from my blackberry, but it just wouldn't work.

Anyways, I pulled the trigger and ordered my third dress to replace my ceremony dress. This time I ordered from babyonline, so I hope they do a good job. I told her I needed it for March 20 and it better arrive before that so I don't stress. I tried to check out the original at the store, but of course it is gone now. So wish me luck that this time I get a dress that I love.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
