Hello All!!! I am back for information and inspiration.  I called my wedding off a little ove a year ago but plans are back on and we just want to do it.  I want to either 3/31/11 or 4/1/11 but can't decide.  It will just be the 2 of us this time because we just want to do it and get it over with already, we're going on 7 years of being together.  Either date would work for us and we are even open to any location this time since it's just us 2.  He really wants to go to St. Kitts so I'm getting infor on there first to see if it's possible with such short notice but again we are open to locations.  Any advice/suggestion welcome.

Hi Big!  Welcome!  I think the one thing you really want to do is get your date booked with the specific resort.  As we are getting closer, you'll want to make sure they still have the option open for you!  Other than that, I don't see where you'll have THAT much to really do because it's just going to be the two of you.  So, you won't really need to do all of the personalization.  Do you have your dress already?

So my dad told us yesterday that even though I asked people to RSVP he told his friends that they don't have to bother!!! Is that craziness or what?  So now I'm going to be off with my bags because some of his guest aren't staying at our resort....what should I do???

I know that this may be a TMI question but I need to ask....do you guys wax and do you get everything waxed?  My God sister suggested I try a Brazilian for the wedding so I"m going for the first time in next week to try it out before the wedding.  I'm a Nair girl...but I'm interesting but terrified of waxing...for the wedding should I do everything arms, legs and the Brazilian what do y'all normally do??? I'm sorry if this is too much of a private question too.

Tenny - On your first comment.... WOW!  Parents sometimes, I swear!  What about calling everyone that hasn't RSVP'd?  I know that's a really crappy thing to have to do, but it would at least give you the numbers you need....   On the waxing, I'm actually curious about this too.  I don't usually do it, I usually shave...(I don't mind the TMI...I hope others don't too!).  I've been thinking about doing the brazilian though....

Oh wow....  I think that's all I have to say...because, I don't know what else to say!  I would be SO frustrated (which I'm sure you are)!!

Yay - FI just said, "You know what we should do Thursday morning?" (we are getting there Wednesday, everyone else is coming Thursday afternoon)  Then he said, "We should schedule massages!"  Little did he know I was looking at the packages as he was saying it!

Oh wow that sound like and awesome "calm before the storm moment"  I love that idea for before everyone arrives....it would alleviate a lot of stress too!!!

We bought the first aid kits, trial size sunscreen, mints, shout wipes, playing cards and kleenex packets. We were looking for pool floaties but the cheapest ones were $3 each. I'm hoping that if we wait a bit we can get them from the dollar store. We already have bubba kegs that we bought for 60% off at Candian tire, that we're going to put labels on. I ordered tote bags from discount mugs and was so excited about the colour but I got a call three days later saying they are out of stock till April! Grrrr. We're also doing welcome packets, lip balm, bath and body works hand sani, pepto, advil, emergen C, laminated king's cup drinking game rules, key card holders and little packets of lube (we have a young, party crew coming to the wedding). Phew I'm tired just thinking about all this work, but at least it's fun!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
