I will take a pic of it and post when I get home.  I ordered it probably around August 2010 so don't know if it would still be available at that price, but it did come from an Asian area and I found it through lots of searching on DH Gate.  I did a sort by price and it popped up.  I thought, for $2, why not?

Kitty, how did you ever find a dress for $2? I would love to see it.

So after buying like 5 dresses from Nordstrom to try on for my TTD i have decided not to get use a different dress for my TTD... i just dont love any of them as much as i love my dress so i dont feel beautiful in them and i really want to LOVE my ttd pictures and only see that happening in a dress that i love also. I just hope it deosnt get ruined b/c i plan on wearing it for my AHR... which i havent even started planning yet because i cannot find a venue that doesnt cost and arm & leg!

I finally found a strapless swimsuit thats made for larger tatas, its a bandeau with underwire so i'm hoping it'll help hold the girls up, my neverending struggle. I ordered it from www.herroom.com so heres to hoping it'll work.

Teira you have had a busy shipping week! That's great! I hope you love every minute of you BD shoot. Don't be worried, after having your hair and makeup done, you'll feel great and it will show in your pictures. Have fun and let your photographers guide you. What types of outfits do you have picked? I can't wait to see how someone else's shoot turns out. And I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one that's gone photo shoot crazy!

@Teira - That swimsuit is so cute.   I really like the starfish idea, I am thinking about something similiar crossed with an inspiration I got from another BDW bride who used shells.

@Everyone in regards to the airlines.... After spending 45 minutes on hold with American Airlines & hearing the policies, I realized I wasn't speaking with an "international" representative, so I wasn't transferred and held for another 30 minutes (bad weather has a lot of flights canceled today so the airlines are slammed with calls).  For my flight to Dominican in May for American Airlines, I still get 2 free checked bags up to 50 lbs each, a carry on, and a personal item.  My dress DOES count as my carry on and there MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be an available hanging space.  Won't know that til I get on board.  I honestly don't know if my dress will fit in an overhead compartment (it weighs 1000 lbs), and it definitely will not fit under the seat.  Luckily the material and design of the dress will not wrinkle easily so I will try to vaccum bag it for travel.  I plan on taking a travel steamer so everything should be ok I hope.....undecided.gif

..there's also bound to be a lot of humidity where we're going ladies!  so depending how many days you're there before the big day, the humidity might do the trick to make your dress wrinkle free! ;)

Teira - LOVE the swimsuit!!

Teira, good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes!!!

Tisha, what I was getting at with the more expensive dress was you could get a knock off made of the more expensive dress that you loved, so that way you will love you dress, but I see you are going to keep your dress right?

Brandy we did have a really busy day on here.

So busy we forgot to make our wedding to-do lists for this weekend.

  1. Redo my Bride to be tank - most of the stones fell off :(
  2. Programs
  3. Finish downloading songs
  4. Mr & Mrs Chair Signs

I think that should keep me busy enough on my one day off.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
