I also ordered from Discountmugs but the color I had ordered was out of stock. They offered me an alternate style, which I wasn't happy with, so they gave me the option of waiting till mid-Feb when my color will arrive in the style I want. Because of the hassle, they're sending me 10 extra mugs free of charge. I didn't do my own logo, I picked one of their pre-designed ones and added my own text. I'll let you know how they come out, I should have them by the end of the month. We are also doing an iPod docking station for our music. But since our reception is on the beach,I have to get one that runs off batteries as well. In terms of the microphone issue, I'm going to get a dock with an auxiliary input and I will plug in my own microphone (as I've mentioned before I work as a freelance Videographer and have a lot of my own equipment). The resort has these items for rent, but price wise it just makes sense to bring my own. Although, now I'm looking at the huge pile of "stuff" in my closet that I plan to bring down (not to mention my dress...) and I may have to invest in an extra large suitcase! Brandy, I can't believe the guy hasn't shipped yet! Perhaps you could send him a "friendly" email reminder? I had a similar issue with my lanyards, also from eBay, and she ended up sending a 2nd package (although I believe it was th first, she claimed that one got lost in the mail) You haven't left feedback yet, right? I can now say I am officially done ordering from Vistaprint! I received my 3rd and final order yesterday and that's it, no more stuff! FYI, I got a free keychain with this order and the printing on it is very low quality, not sure if it was a fluke, but I'm glad it's just something for me, not anything I'm giving my guests.

Brandy - I wanted to tell you...  I still haven't recevied my orange Nina flip flops.  I emailed them on Monday to find out what the deal was, and they said there was a problem with the manufacturer, but they would ship by 2/4, tomorrow.  I just checked my email again, and they will not be shipped NO LATER THAN 2/25...or so they say...  But, they did send me a 30% coupon code for another purchase which is good for 6 months because of the problem....  Thankfully, I didn't have the girls order the same ones.  I had them order different shoes...

Ellabaja and Jewelti,

I'm sort of in the same boat as the two of you.  There really isn't a ton of things that you "have" to do for destination wedding.  It's just so easy compared to a wedding here at home (done that before).  Some women are doing much more than others.  In my case, I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible, thus the reason for a destination wedding.  I'm not making oot bags as everyone will already have most of these items packed with them as they do travel quite a bit and know what to bring.  We did purchase wine stopper favors though to give out after the wedding at our semi-private reception.  We are not paying for a private one.  The resort has their beach party that night so it's not worth it to fork out the extra for that as well as the fact that we are having our AHR one week after we return from Jamaica.  That is where my planning is really taking place.  There's not much to do for the wedding itself - going with the free package and no upgrades. Kids are standing up with us and participating in the sand ceremony.   There are 13 of us going to Jamaica so that's a perfect number for me.  The AHR will have around 150 people though.  Good luck and do not stress over what you may not be doing.  It's all up to you and what you choose to deal with.

Oh wow!  I love this..where did this come from!  BTW..I'm new to this thread.  My wedding is actually in May but I joined this thread b/c you girls have some really great discussions & ideas.  The May thread has basically become a log of dates and locations.

Aww I think it is cute.  I want to order it for myself if it comes in pink and black...  My mom ordered this dress which she is having shortened to an angle at the bottom and it will be in a fuschia color.  My wedding colors are fushia & pink.  We ordered it about 4+months ago from a local bridal shop and it JUST came in this week.  I am anxiousl to see how it turned out in the pink color.  We are both going for fittings this weekend.

FYI  - Different subject - If any of you are looking for the "Daily Spanish for Dummies" book for your OOT bag...I have been on another thread where I found out that Office Depot has them marked down to $1.  My mom went to 3 different ones today (Birmingham, AL area) and found the amount I needed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
