Francine - Thank you!  Let me know when everything is set up, and we can do everything through Paypal.  Thank you for the vistaprint thing too!  I had decided that I'm going to go with Brandy's recommendation on the brochure for the welcome letter/translations, etc...  I was waiting for an email, but I hadn't gotten one for brochures again.

As I sit here home from work, I have decided to work on our play list for the reception!  Might as well do something other than spend money on shoes!

Lua that is great news! The same thing happend to me. Ours dropped $120 per person so $1409.66 double occupancy for a 5star!!! The only bummer is they have a preferred section which we have 11 rooms booked and that one didn't go down because we sold it out but those on the regular side all got a break from double occupance, triple occupancy and singles!

Well my agent just called me and told me that one of my dad's friends who has a deposit down just hung up on her! How rude, not sure of the entire situation but my third agent(the manager now) is going through the list of guests to call and confirm all names and such as well as get credit card info but not charge till the deadline of Feb 16th and she didn't not want to give hers so she said no problem I will just need it a couple of days before the deadline and the lady told "well we are not coming then and hung up" Wow not sure what happend but I will get the full story tonight. DRAMA!!!!!

That's great Erin. If you are close to her it shouldn't be weird at all unless she is bringing her son LOL

Welcome Kat!

OOT bags are "Out Of Town" bags, so a lot of brides put together these bags and either have them delivered to the the guests rooms or hand them out. But you can put like first aid kits, drink koozies, beach towells, playing cards, chapstick, candles, hand sanitizer, hangover kits, personalize mugs, etc... just some fun things that the guests can use during their vacation and also things they can use even after the trip is over. If you do a search for OOT bags you'll find tons of examples and pictures!

When & Where is your wedding? Hows your planning going?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
