So I have been making some progress too and am excited to share a few things!

I decided on these necklaces for my bridesmaids from Etsy, we'll have orchids in the bouquets so I thought they were just perfect!

And I also got my monogram finalized from Allurements by Rebecca - she's doing a few other things for me now too! So excited for that!

(I copied the style of your Brandy! - Hope you don't mind!)

And we ordered the bridesmaid dresses - a purple convertable jersey wrap dress - also from Etsy:

They'll look something like this:

And I also ordered real-touch flowers from Afloral to make my own bouquets and they arrived this morning! I'm excited to start playing around with those now! I'll post pictures when I'm all done:)

Thanks for all the inspiration ladies!!

char - everything looks great!!!!!   that's nuts about the fedex fees and such... but at least it *is* still cheaper than the courthouse.  I was looking aruond here and if we were to have a civil ceremony in the courthouse here, it's $150 for the license and I think $250 for the ceremony... don't you just love how anything "wedding" must cost us?? lol

Wow! That's some insane fees in Canda. We decided to do the legal here because it is so much cheaper than translating, notarizing, apostles, etc. To get married here the license and "ceremony" come out to around $150, versus the almost $600 it would have cost us to do it legally in the DR. Brandy, those guys are just lame then, to assure you they have them and then nothing?

Hey girls

Love the coral one with that amaing packaging. We are going with the starfish in the blue package because it matches our color and already has the thanks tag. I found someone here in canada that sells them for $2.22each local pick up. Fingers crossed that all your paperwork gets there on time!!!

Char I LOVE LOVE LOVE your monogram. I wish I would of had Rebecca do mine but I guess my IT guy didn't do too bad since he is a guy and didn't even know what I was talking about when I first asked him lol  I chose the same type of convertible dress but in aqua.

Got my personalized pens today and i like them! Had to buy 100 of them but only need 50 so will probably sell the rest of them. They are blue and frosted white with Mayan Riviera Mexico and starfish on them. Will post a pic later when I upload it.

Going to have a busy weekend when I go home for family day with 3 vendor appointments booked and a meeting with a local girl I sold all 150 of my chair covers to and two fitted rectangular tables. So happy I have pre sold some of these things!

Ella-nice order and those flowers and color combo will look great!

I am doing the marriage here in canada first but can't find the time where FI, myself and our two witnesses can go together during work hours. Thought about maybe having someone to the house. Any canadian brides in my area know of anyone?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
