Well my reason for the Jan. 20th RSVP was bc I have to have the final guest list sent over to the WC in the beginning of Feb. and not to mention the fact that there is only the honeymoon suite available at our resort all the other rooms are booked solid! They should have done this way earlier bc now they either arent going to get a room at all or they are going to have to pay way more than they would have if they booked earlier when the basic rooms were still available.

There are other resorts around, but I know these people arent going to want to stay off the resort, they have 2 kids and our resort would be perfect for them, I just dont get why they would wait so long to start thinking about it, and never even call us, he heard it through his dad! Its his dad's brother, they say well we want to take a vacation this year anyway, so then why havent you booked it yet then!!! I dont know, I just dont see why they dont realize that I need to know these things!

I'm sorry you guys have had drama with people being wishy washy on booking.  Take a deep breath and just know that the two most important people will be there:)

This week my list of To Do's isn't too bad:

order FI's tie for the wedding (who knew there were that many tacky purple ties?!?)

figure out what type of suit he'll wear

look for his TTD attire

send in contracts for my hair and makeup gurus

email photog about her opinion on our beach location choices

import our invite list to our invitation company (it was ONLY $25 to have our address and our guest's address printed on our envelopes.   Sold!)

book my BD session

It's so annoying trying to deal with people's issues with booking! People can be so funny when it comes to spending money on a trip they didn't actually "choose" themselves. I mean, we're only asking for one day of their time to be spent with us!!!

My advice - try to not get too involved, it can be tough because you want everyone to be there, but they're adults and they were given lots of notice! We have people staying off the resort and they're expecting us to come visit them, but in my opinion that's not fair to the other 40 guests that are coming and actually staying at our resort and I'd also have to pay a visitor fee when I'm already at an all-inclusive.

To me, the funnest part about a DW is getting to spend time with your group and get to know everyone. It's a memory that you'll all share forever! But some people just need to do things their own way....

I know I wouldn't want to spend my wedding week going to other resorts to visit people that didn't want to stay with us. Especially when you go out of your way to arrange a room block!

We're waiting a while to find ties. Hopefully, the spring colors come out soon. Probably end of February?

Wow, I feel like I miss so much being on Pacific Standard Time!  Good morning ladies, sounds like you've all been active and busy.  I just wanted to let you all know that I received an AWESOME deal email from Vistaprint this morning that included FREE UPLOADS! That's huge because even with all the free things they offer, they always get you with the uploads.  If anyone is thinking of ordering anything from vistaprint, use this link:

http://ebm.e.vistaprint.com/c/tag/hBNNtYuAZdBOAB8Xd78CUztHjbj/doc.html?email=francinemichelle@fortuityproductions.com

If it doesn't work, you can PM your email address and I will forward it to you.  Just a few things included, free brochures, free oversized postcards, free premium mugs, etc.

My wedding band came yesterday!  I procrastinating leaving for work and when I finally decided I had to leave, the FedEx truck pulled up just as I was leaving my driveway.  It came out exactly how I expected and I was able to stay below my budget by ordering online.  If anyone is still looking for deals on wedding bands, you should try e-weddingbands.com  The selection is kind of limited, but they were able to make something custom that I found somewhere else and at a MUCH lower price point.

I'm really hoping the DVD of photos from my engagement shoot arrives today, the photographer said she put it in the mail on Friday...we'll see.  I'm planning on yet another vistaprint order and with free uploads, I'd like to use a picture or two from the engagement shoot.  Still waiting on my key card holders from China...I will definitely have some extras of those, so if someone is still planning on ordering, let me know.  I also have extras lanyards, they're all cotton and royal blue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
