Lisa - I just feel bad for my parents. I told them I couldn't understand why she is so rude to others when that wasn't the way she was raised. But I think it might be for the best that she learns that not everyone will let her make all the decisions, and that her money can't buy everyone.

Wow, 48 new messages...  I missed a lot last night/today....

Lets see if I can remember who just said what!  =)

Brandy - I'm going to need about 23 bags at this point....

Laura - I'm sending good vibes!  I hope things work out for your FI, that would be a great thing especially to change that commute!

Tris - Your invites are amazing!  I absolutely love them!!!

Today I got absolutely NOTHING accomplished.  I did find some bags that I could use for the meds that I'm going to put in the OOT bags, but they aren't exactly what I'm looking for, so I didn't buy them...yet.  I did find some luggage tags that I think I'll buy special for the girls in the wedding, but they were at Michael's and I didn't have the weekly coupon, so I decided to wait.

After a terrible dentist appointment/migraine and getting sick before leaving, I decided to take a nap this afternoon...  So, I'm going to try to get a few things done tonight!

Okay, I need some opinions...  I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for my luggage tags.  I just found the flip flop luggage tags on a site for a heck of a lot less than what I found them for at Michael's today.  I want to know what you guys would do...

I can buy these tags:

Flip Flop Tags.jpg

for $1.89/ea. or get the clear tags where I'd have to buy the loops and make the luggage tag insert....  I have found the clear ones for $.85.

I really like the flip flop ones, but my only hesitation is...will the guys REALLY want flip flop luggage tags??  Thoughts?

I think the flip flop ones are cute, but from my experience with travelling, is that larger/bulkier luggage tags always seem to get broken and those look fairly 3-dimensional. If you get the smaller clear ones, you could always put a picture of flip flops in it, which I think the guys might like better also.

So, last night I got some really bad news, and I don't mean to be a downer, but I just need to let it out, and you girls are all so supportive. Anyways, so we've had our trip booked since last March, and several people paid their deposits right away and wanted to come. One of those people included my half-sister, who I'm not terribly close with, but we were so excited she was coming and she was so excited to come. Anyways, last September she found out she has breast cancer and she's only 40. She's had 2 major surgeries last fall to remove the tumours, originally the doctors were very optimistic and thought that's all she would need, so we were all trying to keep positive and remain hopeful that she could still come to the wedding. But now, she just found out she has to start chemo in a couple of weeks and won't be able to travel for at least 6 months. She's really upset that she's missing the trip and I feel horrible about what she's going through. I honestly feel stuck now. I don't know what to do. I feel bad moving forward with wedding stuff, for example, I have been sending out e-mails to everyone coming to Jamaica having a countdown to get everyone excited and now I feel like that's almost inappropriate because she was always the first to write back and tell me how excited she was. How do I continue to move forward without making things harder for her? This is such a crappy situation. I wish I could postpone the wedding and have it when she's got the OK to come, but it's too late for that now....bah, anyways, thanks for listening.

Char,

I'm so sorry to hear about your half sister...but I don't think she would want you to be less excited about your wedding because of her illness....she sounds like she is supper happy and excited for you and your big day and I don't think she would want to take that from you.  Does your resort offer the opportunity for her to watch the wedding online?  Maybe that would be an option to look into..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
