I'm working on upping my workout schedule a bit, but no major changes for me. I blog about it all here: http://startingoutfit.wordpress.com ... my current weekly schedule is including 3 rides on my horse + 2 strength workouts + 2 runs (min 30 min).  I've just picked up Jillian Michaels' Six-Week, Six-Pack dvd which I'm doing for my strength workout as I was quite surprised when I popped it in the other day. It's not a workout of crunches but all different full body movements - it's great!  I also really like Jillian's 30-Day shred Dvd.

Hi Hannah!!  My biggest issue is portion control, so I'm trying to cut back...  Supper is my biggest issue, so I put less on my plate and if I feel I want more I make myself wait 20 minutes - by then the urge to eat more usually passes.  I've also upped my workouts a lot.  I work at a college, so I have access to the gym on campus which helps - no more excuses!  I try to run on the treadmill for 30-40 min 4 times a week at lunch, and then when I get home I walk my dog (anywhere from 2-5km depending on both our energy levels).  I'm also aiming to do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred 3 times a week, but on those days I make FI walk the dog!

Lua,

In the US,  marriage in Jamaica is considered a legal wedding - not as in Mexico where you have to do a legal ceremony in the US if you don't want to go through blood tests and all this other stuff in Mexico and then you are doing a symbolic ceremony in Mexico.

I asked my TA and she said for the RIU requirements, we have to have a copy of the documents notarized by a Notary Public, you can find them at banks and many other places, that the copies are exact of the originals.  We have a notary at the hospital where I work and I plan on taking them to her to notarize for free.  Good luck.  Your TA should be able to assist you.

I know that I said after new years it would be "crunch time" and now I am just trying to decide on the best method. I know I have to eat healthy and work out but hearing about what is working for others is always helpful!

Can't wait to hear from you all!

Weighed myself after my 30min run tonight and with no real changes to my lifestyle except for aiming to now do at least 1 workout a day, i've lost 2 lbs! i'm not really aiming to lose weight, just tone up, but hey i'll take that! lol

We are getting married at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach! 1 lb per week is pretty much my goal too.... I am trying to eat 5 times per day (small healthy meals) instead of just three, drinking TONS of water and going to the gym 3 times a week.... can't say anything about results yet as its only been a week but I am hoping that it will be enought to get me looking good in a bikini!

That's so funny. FI used to change the channel to that for me just to keep me on the treadmill. Until I started just standing there to watch it.

Got the best wedding gift so far today, my boss is giving me an extra week of paid vacation!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
