Lisa  - Very nice job with your Vista Print booty!  I should really get working on my newsletter I guess!!!

I have been very busy with wedding stuff over the past few days.  Tuesday night we booked our flights to Mexico.  Wednesday I booked the flight for our photographer.  Friday I scheduled my first dress fitting appointment, along with the appointment for the three girls in the wedding.  I also booked the hair & make-up appointments at the spa for our "getting ready" the day of the wedding.  I also picked up the paperwork we need to fill out to get our marriage certificate for the legal part of the wedding (we are actually getting married here first, then doing a "renewal of the vows" in Mexico so we don't have to worry about the legal pieces in Mexico).  Today I purchased a bunch of goodies for the OOT bags.  The majority of the pieces I have left for the OOT bags is the stuff I have to make...

Here are a couple of pictures for things in the OOT bags.  The first is the first aid kit, which includes just the pieces that came in it (bandaids, etc).  The second is the label that I'll be putting on the bag with the rest of the items.  Basically the "Oh Sh!t Kits."

I had originally set up a shutterfly account, but then when I went to snapfish, it seemed like that would be easier to navigate for all people who may want to upload pictures (including those who aren't too strong with a computer).  For my photoshare cards, I used my snapfish account.  Most of my people would have been able to use either, but I thought I'd use the site that made it the easiest.

Anyways, right in the front of the store they had these gorgeous teal open toe heels with bling on the front. I was looking for more of a turquoise colour but my bridesmaids dresses are more teal than turquoise so it's not a big deal, just different shades of the same colour. Best part. $20. Bonus, BOGO. So I got a pair of sexy black heels for $10. :)

... the one problem. Are I feared, they're a little too tall. I'm about an inch taller than FI. He really doesn't care but we're going to see if we can get some height added to his shoes (since they're completely flat, nothing on them) or maybe some insoles. If all else fails, I'll slouch a little when we're standing at the alter. Haha.

And while I'm posting pics, these are my bridesmaids dresses (they look much better on and this one needs to be taken in... it's too big)

Tris, so glad you lucked out and found such amazing shoes. They are gorgeous, and so are your BM dresses!

We went to a bridal show yesterday, it wasn't much help with all the little things we still need, but I did manage to find a rhinestone comb for my hair. So that's one thing off the list. Also finished off mother's corsages and started work on my veil.

Tris- I LOVE those shoes!! Great find!

Ellabaja- Great job on knocking things off your list! How did you make your stickers and smileys?? I have seen similar on the forum, but is there a special program or person that makes them for you? I would love to do the same thing.

BTW-- finally Junior Member status! Yippie!

Today my focus has been on luggage tags...  for those of you doing luggage tags, where did you get yours?  I'm finding the clear plastic luggage tags on both Amazon.com and ebay.com...but most of them are over 100 tags, and I certainly don't need that many.  I did find one seller on ebay that had 25 of them for $16, but I wanted to see if I could find them somewhere else, cheaper.  I can get 100 of them on amazon for $10...I just don't want that many.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
