I'm totally doing the whiteboard idea as well. I'm bringing my Pro camera and tripod along anyways so I'm going to set it up and leave someone there to watch/handle it. :)

So my dress is here!! I really like it, just one problem it doesnt fit!!!!!  Its made really well and worth the 98.00 I paid for it, the problem is the underneath part the satin that does under the chiffon is too tight and wont go all the way down past my hips, I didnt realize that there was a fitted satin underlay, Im hoping once I drop this last 20 pounds it will fit, but I think Im going to have to get it altered which is what I didnt want I knew it was flowy so I figured if I lost the weight it would fit the same I would just need to tighten the corset backing more, but that doesnt seem to be the case now.  Any idea how to get static off of a dress, its so staticy and I have a dog and his hairs are all stuck to it now bc of the static!

Gorgeous shoes Brandy! I need shorter ones too, same problem as Tris!

That sucks about the dress but for a little extra money you can get it perfect!

Teira the whiteboard is that board where you can write with marker and then it erases for the next person to write a message and you have someone take pics of the people with their message on the board and maybe some props and use that for your guestbook. i am doing this as well as the postcard guestbook. Doing the whiteboard thing more for fun and my 14year old cousin is going to be the photographer to keep him occupied as he has no one else there his age.

My starfish placecard holders and starfish for the centerpieces have been shipped and I ordered pens from discount pens. I only need 50 but had to order a minimum of 100 so if anyone likes this pen and this logo and is getting married in the mayan riviera with my same colors we could split the cost! The pens I ordered look like this

I ordered the blue one that shows gameboy on it but with the logo above.

oops

Brandy- I'm glad you love your dress. Sounds like an easy fix with the alterations. As far as taking the weight off you can do that easy enough! When you have a dress to look at hanging in the closet it is well worth the effort. Just came from the gym myself...suffered but I know all for a good cause!

Hmmm static...don't know...do you have static guard. How about a damp clean cloth. If it is silk do not use a damp cloth.

I got the small 2inch place card holder ones (white knobby starfish) from a seller off ebay named anyname99.  Here is the listing

I got the 3-4inch ones for my centerpieces from another vendor as the original one was out of that size. Here is the listing.

How much do you think it would cost to get a dress cleaned and steamed?

Yes its more motivation for me to loose this last bit of weight, it fits everywhere just fine, its when I go down to slide if over my butt/hips it gets stuck lol! Damn hips, Im sure once I drop the weight it should slide on down just fine at least thats what Im hoping for.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
