I have a questions....Is it bad if I don't have any bridesmaids??? So far there is still 1 groomsman is that ok or do I have to pick someone to stand for me.  My MOH says that she is not cleared to travel, and her hubby says they don't have the money for her to come.

It's your wedding you can do whatever you want! The only thing I would think about is pictures which is bothering me right now because I have two bridesmaids standing(no MOH) and FI only has his best man left to stand as the other groomsmen can no longer afford tocome so my numbers are off and I can't very well ask one of my sisters to step down so it looks like they will be walking on each side of his arm down the aisle lol Also our head table will not be even but if you are doing a sweetheart table then that wouldn't be so bad.

No its not bad, I asked 3 girls to be in my wedding and it looks as though none are coming and my FI planned on asking three but has only asked one which is my brother and I know he is coming, the other two he had planned on asking already said they werent coming so he didnt bother to ask them so it looks as though my brother will be the only one standing up with us and he will be on chris' side and Im not going to worry about it too much, its possible that one of my BM might be coming but like I said if she comes she comes if shes doesnt then oh well Im not gonna stress out about it.  I was like you at first and thought it would be strange but I really dont think it matters.

Shoe review for flower flip flops

There a fairly comfortable, but not the most comfortable pair Ive ever tried on, they seem to be longer in the front of the shoe than the back so it feels like you have to really  push your foot up in there and I dont have fat feet by any means but they do feel sort of tight when you try to  push them all the way up, but with some walking around it seems like they may 'stretch' out and fit a little better like all new shoes they seem tight at first but once you walk around in them a little bit the thong part will start to loosen up on the flip flop I think, overall its a really cute shoe, just needs some breaking in!

Thanks Teira, totally makes sense. I do recall that some of the Do Not Disturb signs have a somewhat small circle and then a slit to get over the handle of the door.  I guess I might ask some brides who've been to my resort if the door knobs are actually knobs at my resort of if they are a handle of sorts (if that makes sense wink.gif)

And Tenny, I'm not having bridesmaids either.  My FI talked about having a groomsman or two, but one may not come now because of money and the other I think is actually going to perform the ceremony (we're doing a symbolic one because the hassle and money of doing the legal one became too much).  If pictures are focused on your "lack of" bridesmaids, then your photographer is not doing a very good job, because it will be ALL ABOUT YOU! (and your FI of course)

Brandy, sorry to hear the flip flops aren't the most comfortable, but they are DAMN CUTE! Hopefully they will stretch out a bit.

Tenny- Well to hell with bridesmaids right! LOL! It will still be just as special with or withot bridesmaids! Less money since you aren't paying for the dresses or the bouquets! You will be the hit of the wedding!!

Brandy- Boy you are the best shoe hunter around! Amazing how quick you are at finding shoes! I absolutely love those flipflops from Nina with the rosettes! Absolutely gorgeous! I am thinking of ordering them for my bridesmaids in their favorite colors just for fun! Super love them!

You guys have a great thread going here. Let's hope the April 2012 brides are as great as all of you been with sharing tips come 2012!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
