I just checked I dont think its too unreasonable I think its def doable, but every flight I see theres at least one stop so that might be why its cheaper, theres one for $94 on the way there if you stop 2 times it might be worth it if it saves you a bunch of money and it seems to cost a lot more to get back for some reason lol like at least $100 more for your ticket back.

Well, we have to get there pretty early on our arrival day, b/c we are only coming in 2 business days ahead of time for a civil ceremony.  They need enough time for all the paperwork.  A girl I know got nonstop for a good price, but she bought about 2 1/2 months before.  Not sure I can wait it out that long.  I'd get too nervous!

Yeah, it does get cheaper the closer to the date, I wouldnt worry about it too much, there are always flights available, it may not be the exact one you want but you will get there, they wont run out of flights.

But if you are worried about it then I would go ahead a book it, how much is it right now, will the price fit into your budget at all?

Yeah I got too eager on the oot bags and decided I was just going to go for it lol, Cant wait to see your mugs if you have time to post before the wedding!

Zappos has them in Silver and on sale in all sizes...wish I wanted silver :(  Went on the Nina site and they make them in blue, can't seem to find them elsewhere in blue though.  I'll see how I feel about the shoes I ordered from Amazon, they should be here by the end of the week, and then I can make a more "informed" decision ;)  BTW, my sand ceremony frame arrived today, it's a little smaller than I expected (the umbra ether frame) but how much sand did we really want to pour?

Hey Tisha, I don't think that price is totally unreasonable, especially if you book hotel and airfare together (you get a better deal)  If you book through orbitz right now, you can enter 100VACATION at check out for $100 of a Mexican vacation (it's also for the Caribbean as well, if anyone else is waiting to book)  For us, we booked back in August, but since we're changing hotels, there weren't many sites we could book on (we went through Cheapcaribbean.com) Flights/packages are actually higher now than when we booked, but I'm thinking they will come down a bit in the New Year (hoping at least for those guests who have yet to book).  Good luck!

Tenny Love those shoes!!!

Michelle I havent seen them in blue before either! I just checked they have all kinds of colors!! Hmm makes me want to buy more for our trip lol I considered the silver since my dress has oyster on the empire waist which is like a silvery color but when I compared it the shoe was too silver so I decided to go with the ivory. I'll let you know how they look when they come in and take a pic so maybe that will help you make your decision too, they should be here on the 28th

Tenny - Love your shoes!!  You ladies are making me wish I was doing the heels...  Oh well, flip flops will be more comfortable!

I have not booked our flights, but I wish I had a few months ago.  They were cheaper back then.  I have decided I'm going to wait until at least January to see what the prices do after the holidays.  As of right now, we are looking at just under $500/person flying out of the local airport here in VT.  That's with one stop...  Hopefully prices will go down once we get into the new year.   confused.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
