Ellabaja - I think it's so early because we had such a great group rate with Signature Vacations.  We booked in July with a $150 deposit having to pay in full by Oct 31.  The cool thing though is that we are eligable for 1 price drop up to 60 days before we leave.  So needless to say, we'll be keeping a close eye on the rates and if we see a drop at any time, we'll take advantage and get some $ back.  The other cool thing about it (well not at this moment) is that having it paid so early will make things easier when we're closer to the wedding. It will be nice come Jan/Feb knowing that we've already paid for it and only have to pay for the minister and any extras we want when we get to the resort. :)

Well it went pretty good, I did not find anything though, nothing really wowed me there, there really isnt much of a selection at Davids bridal, at least not what Im looking for, I tried a few different styles and liked them all but wasnt loving the dresses, nothing grabbed me.  My mom did take a few photos but I dont have them with me. Im thinking im leaning more towards the flowing chiffon dresses which davids only had 2 that were really like that and I just didnt fall in love like I thought I should. But I am really looking forward to going to the bridal shop in Delaware because I know they have a lot of dresses like that there, so I think I will probably find something there, and I think we are going to go there next weekend.

oh the joys of being short eh? wink.gif  I'm only 5'3 so i feel your pain.  I'm currently swimming in my dress!! hence why it needs some major alterations in the shortening dept.  mine's a 2 piece though so the corset top really helped to balance things out for me.

here's hoping you have more success at the next shop!

#2 was really nice and made me look super skinny but I hated the fabric it was like the fabric of a mattress protector lol and it was itchy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
