Yea Ive been speaking with Monica, she seems really nice, we havent had our planning session yet though, and we are using an outside vendor for photography, which means we have to leave the resort to get our pictures take, we are using tropical imaging, I just think that beaches/sandals prices are so high and it seems that not many brides are too thrilled with their results, I would def look into using a different photographer, youll probably get a better price too.

Hey ladies, Ive been MIA for the past few weeks sadly... But the good news is Ive been busy getting details accomplished on the wedding front... We are now officially booked for April 6th at the Royal Cancun... We also booked Cecilia Dumas for our wedding and TTD session the next morning. We are using Jill from Sand N Sun vacations,..and we are planning to book our trip on Tuesday...I am waiting for the STD magnets which should be here this week..woohooo so excited to finally get the word out officially to our loved ones..hoping to have atleast 20 people attend so we can have a private reception :)

I have yet to get my dress but have one picked out online, Im just alittle hesitant to buy one online without trying some on in that style..So I will be making a joint trip with my lil sis who is getting married 3mos after me :) Fun times...

This is the dress that I have my eye on online(minus the flower)..let me know what you think :)

Strapless slim A-line bridal gown with zipper for brides 2009 style sawd0023 - a-line princess wedding dress

...... oh our colors are ocean blue and yellow...we are doing our flowers through Silk Wedding Flowers, Yellow Silk Bridal Bouquets were doing yellow calla lillies and some lil white flowers then wrapped with the cornflower color ribbon..their prices are pretty good I think, but Im just doing 7 and 8 inch boquets...

whatelse..oh my bridesmaid dresses are Victoria's Secret - Knot-front matte jersey dress in the paradise blue color then they will be wearing silver sandals...

I guess thats all I have so far in my wedding planning... I look forward to sharing this wedding planning time with you all :) Kathy

I just booked our photog--his name is Samuel Luna and his work looks great (plus the price was lower than some of the others I was looking at. Initially I wanted Claudia Rodriguez but she was booked.

Hi all! I was thinking I had already posted on here, but apparently I haven't! We are getting married at Grand Palladium Kantenah on April 29, 2011! I have a tentative hold/reserve at the resort and I'm actually taking care of the deposit tomorrow! After that I will take care of the deposit with our TA! We are actually using TA Wendy from this forum!

I have made the Boarding Pass STD's/Invites that we are sending to the group of people we are inviting to the actual wedding in Mexico and then we will be sending a letter (informal invite) to everyone for the AHR to give them a heads-up as to what we are doing since originally we were planning a bigger wedding at home. At a later date we will do the invitation for the AHR.

also - forgot to add!!!

we got FI's wedding attire last week (minus a belt) and we weren't even shopping for it!!!

He's been wanting a linen suit and while doing other shopping last week, he spotted exactly what he wanted at H&M!!! There was only 1 suit left in stock and low and behold, in his size! It fit him like a glove and we bought it on the spot for only $100!!!!! He also bought a white button up shirt there for $15. We were on a roll so decided to walk down the mall to check out the ties at Le Chateau because they always have great colours -- we wanted to see if they had one in our wedding colour (turquoise) and they did! only 1 LEFT there too!!! so we bought that on the spot for $34 (why must ties cost so much?!) .. then we went back to H&M to see if there were any accessories he might want and he found a really nice pair of brown flip flops with a turquoise sole - which he bought for $10!

FI now has his entire wedding attire (minus a belt) for only $159!!!!! I couldn't believe it! now we have one MAJOR thing crossed off our list :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
