I just got my prices yesterday friday and it's $1450.00 for a week leaving on saturday April 2, 2011. I am really happy with that price for my guests as I was expecting more.

I went in April 8-12 in 2007 and it rained maybe twice. But it is basically a quick rain shower for 5-10 minutes then it blew away and you would have never known it rained. The weather was amazing, not too hot yet and the water was just the right temperature to be refreshing when you snorkel or swim (I don't get in cold water).

Hello everyone! Good to see some other April 2011 brides--I was beginning to think I was way ahead of the game (and that would be completely out of character seeing as I'm the biggest procrastinator ever!). We're getting married on April Fool's Day next year at Secrets Maroma Resort in Riviera Maya.

I sent out my save the dates and have been looking at photographers, invites, and dresses but mostly just browsing. How far along is everyone else?

Hi Ladies! I'm an April 2011 bride as well! So glad I found this thread! We have reserved our date and time for the ceremony and just got the 2011 rates from our TA! So now it's time to start booking!! Very exciting! We're keeping it small at the actual wedding, but then having a reception at home for everyone that can't make it. I see that a lot of you girls have sent out STD's already, I was actually not planning on doing this but now I'm wondering if that was a bad decision?!? What are your thoughts?

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!

Brooke

Someone asked what we all have done so far, so here's where I stand.

Deposit on date at resort.

Deposit w/ TA Jill for booking.

Wedding dress purchased (will get altered later, it's too long).

STDs mailed (except a few I don't have addresses for).

Reserved hall for AHR.

AHR dress purchased (wearing THE dress awhile, then changing).

Booked AHR photographer.

Soon to do..

Deposit on photographer (thinking Octavio Montes, can get me cd of pics before leaving Mexico).

Meet with cake people.

Work on DIY boarding pass invites.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
