Wow, wedding planning anxiety can put such worries in our subconsious, can't it? I had a weird dream/nightmare last night that my current fiance kept being interchanged in scenes w/my past fiance and it was freaking me out. Then my ex-fiance made me wear this wedding dress that was red and ghastly... Then on the way to the church, we were in a car accident and just took off on foot to make it to the church on time. Then just a bunch of really weird scenes that can totally be read into but I'm leaving it alone. I'm assuming we'll have these dreams/nightmares till we finally have our day go smoothly and all's well, huh?

Sorry to barge into your Jamaica area (I'm a cabo girl) but I had a nightmare when I was in the midst of all my decision making on the big stuff... during my reception the power went out and there was a flood.. next thing I knew my DJ just left! I had to run across the resort to rent a speaker system from Mariana at Dreams and of course it wasn't working.. on the way back to the party I had to go through a large valley and all these little casitas that had old people in them... what the heck did that all mean!! lol I haven't had any since then, but that was a doozie... just that really stressed out feeling the entire time.

DOH!!! Yeah, that was me this morning as FI asked me if I was ok and I was still a bit freaked out...

You know, that's a good question too about wondering if the men ever have nightmares like these. They aren't as concerned about it going just right, they really trust that no matter what, the wedding is happening so what's the worse that could happen. That's what I think but I plan on asking FI just out of curiosity (sans mentioning the switching groom detail...)

I have nightmares almost every night. My latest one was that I went to pick up my dress and they showed me the receipt saying it would be in in June and I freaked and was like my wedding is in May! Even though in real life my wedding is in October, totally bizarre, but a lot of my nightmares have had to do with my dress!

  • 6 months later...

I am having nightmares almost every night! It is driving me crazy! The other night, I had one where I was not ready for the wedding and it was raining. They moved the venue, my dad had to drive a rental car to get to the new place, drove down the wrong road, this road was a flooded river and full of hippos! We almost drowned and when we got there, no one was there. I also keep dreaming that I forget my dress. Or that it is just too rainy for the plane to take off and we get to Jamaica too late (you know, you have to be there 2 days before you can get married)! I am going crazy!

Oh Amanda - try to relax! I had nightmares on and off the last few months, and I really didn't sleep well just before we left, but everything was perfect in the end! A few months ago my dreams got really bad, and I literally stopped all wedding related activity (except for BDW)... that really helped. I was so stressed about OOT bags, centerpieces and details, that I'd forgotten it was supposed to be fun :) Take a step back and try to relax. hug2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
