 I completely emapathize!!

I am or was supposed to be getting married at Grand Riviera Princess on Decmeber 8 - 3 weeks from today and we leave on the 5th....to top that our travel agent is away til the 21st. Fortunately there is another wedding specialist in the office.  We are likely moving our wedding and group to the Sunset side of the resort, therefore have the same wedding package, rooms, restaurants, etc.

I also am the bride with a hopalong groom - broke his leg 3 weeks ago...

perspective is important to me. We are thankful that we weren't there when it happened (we had looked at that week...)  We have faith that all will work out!  Apparently the resort is stilll functioning, but since we were in the platinum suites we are trying to move.

My brother had his wedding at the bahia principe 5 years ago - today and a friend had hers there last year.  They really liked it.  It is one of the furthest resorts from cancun - but it was beautiful.  I hope it works out for your too.

You are lucky, since we booked through Sunquest, we were told we didn't have a choice, and had to move.  I'd have totally stayed if we could have moved to the Sunset side.  I absolutely love the resort, it is so beautiful, and I really didn't want to have to start planning all over again with reception choices, cake, etc.  So far it's worked out though.  Good luck at your wedding, I want to see pics!  He he.

Anyone getting married there?

Anyways - just wanted to fill you all in, and ONE MONTH TODAY I will be marrying my best friend, yay!

You have an amazing outlook on everything and it is so refreshing!!cheer2.gif

My FI seriously injured his knee 5 days ago and won't be able to walk or dance for our wedding on Dec 1.  I had been kind of sad about all we will miss out on, but seeing how everyone affected by this explosion is handling things makes me realize my groom on crutches is a minor snag and I am so happy to still have the luxury of getting married on the beach with all my family and friends around us.  love.gif

Aw thanks Lindsey!  It really does put things into perspective, doesn't it?  You're so right, to have the luxury of getting married on the beach with all our friends and family is truly a blessing!  :)

Last night had my final dress fitting, and I was a little nervous, because they had to do quite a bit of alterations.  But, I'm happy to say, it fits perfectly, and I love it even more than I did when I first bought it!  I cannot wait to wear it!!!!  It is now hanging in my closet and I just want to wear it around the house when FI isn't home.  Ha ha.  We are getting SO close ladies!!!

I'm moving on it I guess but I still have so many things to do!!! Mostly little things... OOT bags, programs, etc. But enough little things that it's overwhelming. Plus I still haven't decided about all the music for the ceremony. Haven't decided about centerpieces. How is it that all of a sudden I'm leaving in two weeks and have nothing done! Craziness!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
