Hey Everyone,

I need help on choosing a resort in Cancun/Playa area. We were going to get married at Excellence Playa Mujeres. The guest list grew and now children are coming so we need a family friendly all-inclusive resort. Any suggestions for the best place? Also, are kids allowed to go to Adult only resorts just for the wedding? Or does it depend on the resort?

Since i got married at the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal... I also vote for that!!! :)

But I just got back from photographing a wedding at the Barcelo Maya Palace and I must say that was a beautiful resort as well. And it is VERY child friendly.

We are getting married at the Royal Playa del Carmen. It is a 5 star adults only all inclusive.Next door is the Gran Porto Playa del Carmen, which is family friendly. (they are sister resorts). You have full rights to go to the Gran Porto at any time if you are staying at the Royal and, kids are allowed to attend the ceremony at the Royal and the reception (If you opt for the private reception, which is 10$ more a person). This would give you the leisure to see the families at your convenience and the opportunity for you to have them at your wedding and reception. (Of course for a small price).

Hope this helps out a little

excellence was my first choice as well but i realized that i needed to consider children. you should consider dreams cancun. it's a family friendly all-inclusive resort, great location and has a ton of great reviews here on the forum. good luck!

I can suggest Iberostar Paraiso lindo in PLaya del Carmen, Catalunia Riviera Maya in PLaya as well, these are all inclusive and family friendly also has nice sopots for photography!

Hope I do help!

Thanks!
Ivan

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
