Ours will have to be the same but on a cliff in Tahoe. We are not planning on our being all that long, 15 minutes or so. I can't imagine any of our guest will have a problem with it. I wonder if they would allow you to bring some beautiful blankets for your guests to sit on and then let your guest know they will be on the ground so they should wear pants. Just an idea to get you around this situation.

standing shouldn't be an issue IMO. Our ceremony will be about 20 minutes and we'll have half people stand and half sit in chairs (elderly). This is only because the gazebo won't fit everyone seated sad.gif I did ask everyone if that was ok and no one seemed to care.

I have wondered about this, if it would be ok to not have chairs. I know that the hotel we are at has one hotel next to it then nothing. I wanted to look into getting married where there is nothing, plus it be be more private. My only concern was getting chairs over there.

MERRYME - I like how you had yours! I may have to look into doing this.

I had several baskets for everyones shoes where the sand started and then the white fabric to sit or stand on. Because the beach was cmpletely deserted it really looked great. Everyone loved it and it made the whole thing much more casual which was what I wanted. You have to remember that I had the church blessing right before so it was little bit of everything.

In a pinch you could probably use top sheets I really liked the idea of blankets. The stripped mexican blankets would really look very cool on the beach.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
